Congratulations to all of the new governors!  King Blackthorn eagerly awaits the first meeting!

   The current election cycle for the Governship of the major cities of the realm draws near its conclusion as today is the final day to cast your votes. The week long event takes place at each cities respective stone located near it’s main vault. Votes will be tallied at sun up tommorrow and winners declared. Citizens need be respected in thier cities in order to vote. Donation of materials is seemingly the popular method of garnering such title.

  The Paxlair Statehood continues to flourish in past and present elections and stand to win the seats of every city with most incumbents running unopposed and those that are opposed are done so by another statehood representative. The lone exception is the city of New Magencia where incumbent Lord Gareth remains firmly in the lead.  Sovereignty indeed still has a place in Sosaria.  The most current up to date exit polls as of noon est show the following standings in all the major elections:

   With the closing of the election period Governors will preside over thier respective cities for the coming months. With time running short and pride on the line these elections will surely go down to the wire. Reports come as eyewitnesses claim votes are purchased and corruption thrives as citizens of far away lands are aplenty skewing the voting process tipping the scales in the favor of those whose vote they have pledged.  The game of thrones is indeed underway here on Chesapeake!

The platforms were as follows:

Murdock stated that he would bring true representation to the King and harsh punishment to the rogues who enter the city.

Victor II who is an incumbent will continue to protect the northeast coast, building docks, and helping Gypsies. (Help get a Player owned Movable Gypsy Wagon by posting here! Sorry for the shameless plug but it needs to be added into the game!)

Squrit stated he is the Envoy and that the the longstanding governor is never around so all should vote for Squrit.

Gunga Din stated ZZZZZZZZ because he was very tired (something going on IRL)

Scabby who is an incumbent stated in very eloquent goblinese that his platform was the coal warmers that he was standing on. He will keep Jhelom safe from pirates and bad hummies by peein on everyone. He also stated that he was Scabby and he approved his message so all should vote for Scabby. Scabby ended his opening speech with a resounding fart and the room erupted in cheers!

Tina stated that she wishes to represent the fine people of Skara Brae and bring in change. She will fight for it’s people and be there to protect and serve.

Tinky Feets stated that Tinky would keep the trade deals going for the new players and bond the Goblins with the King. Tinky even had some nice campaign posters walking around:

so all should vote for Tinky Feets!

Ivy who is the incumbent stated that she would increase the city defenses against pirate attacks and protect the animals in and around Vesper. She will also increase trade in the city.

Lauren stated that she would protect Moonglow and all the land from evil while continuing to keep the trade deals open and citizens safe.

Next came the question and answer stage
Brian DeSpell asked how the candidates planned on funding the trade deals.

Murdock who was unprepared and lost his notes so Victor stepped in.

Victor stated that he would not give a dime but he will be running trade deal events to help fund the coffers. He stated that citizens would also be given a chance to donate and even run champ spawn events to help out.

Mudock who found his notes recovered and brought his A game. Murdock stated that he would promote the city and then sell titles to fund the city. He would also talk to the King about getting better trade deals for Britain since it was the capital city. Tinky Feets fell asleep during this reply.

Squrit stated that he would fund the city by donations from the many vendors and trade deals so all should vote for Squrit.
Gunga Din was still sleeping (still dealing with something IRL)

Scabby stated that he would fund trade deals by peeing on trade ministers in other cities that way Jhelom would have the best trade deals in Britannia because they would be clean and not wet. Scabby stated that he approved his message and then let out another thunderous fart which brought tears to the eyes of all, so all should vote for Scabby!
Tina then gave a fabulous and long account of her upbringing and stated that she would bring in funds by hard work and loyalty to the people to include cleaning up the harbors.

Tinky Feets stated that there would be tavern crawls, excursions, and events to help fund Britain so all should vote for Tinky Feets!
Ivy stated that she held city meetings but was met with little interest. Trade deals were expensive but if there was interest then she would keep them going.

Ozog who was the moderator reminded participants that they can throw mud so Scabby threw dirt at everyone and shouted “YAY fer trowin dert!”

The rest of the event was very long winded by Murdock, Ivy and Lauren and I fell asleep.

Edit: I tried to keep this as true as possible but apparently Scabby hacked in and changed some things around!

This relative newcomer to the political arena has challenged Lady Pandora for her seat in Britain. Lord Greywulfe hails from a moderately sized farm outside of Britain, and recently became interested in running for the seat in the hopes of making a change for the better. If elected he hopes to primarily make Britain the leader in research on how to cure the recent plague, and come up with a more permanent solution to lowering crime in the city. He plans to also work on several events including a crafting night to attract commerce to the city. When questioned about his participation in the previously held town hall meetings Lord Greywulfe responded that he was not present at any of them as his work kept him from attending. He then went on to question if he should have had to personally request that the governor address the plague and crime.

Arriving at the hall, I found Captain Elise, the Golden  inside the hall trying to pull up the statue of Izum. Stopping when she saw me, she growled, ” I knew it was too good to be true, they said the town was empty.” She began working her way to the door.

“We have just returned to meet with Captain Corian. You have trapped yourself.” I said trying to block the door.

Still she made a run for it. Finding herself blocked, she demanded to know who had betrayed her. ” I’ll have their ugly head for this.! You don’t betray me!

Lady Thalia questioned her,” Did you arrange the murders in Skara Brae?” The captain seemed to be surprised by the question. Then she laughed, “Well not yet, but if you’d like to die I can arrange that.”

Knowing the Captain, people grouped for a battle. The greater Dragons roared eager for blood. We didn’t have to wait long. As Captain Elisa’s hired Brigands attacked us from all sides.

Seeing they were no match for our forces, Elisa summoned two Crimson Dragons then slipped away.

 

 

Many a life was given for the slow progress towards the docks. Finally lead by Artemis , we caught up with her. Seeing us she began laughing. “You should have just arrested me instead of following. “You, keep them busy! she shouted as more of her men came out of the buildings by the docks. For once she joined the fight, attacking one person then another. All the while moving towards the docks. ” Well, at least they are good at dying. That’s good for something. Now I won’t have to pay them.” she said stepping over the brigand’s dead bodies. “Come on, die a little slower!  I just need some more time.

 

 

 

I stopped in shock at her indifference at the deaths. Was this her true nature. “Give up, your fighters are outnumbered.”

Still she moved closer to the docks, all the time shouting at the fighters. “Don’t let them near me.” pushing people aside. “Keep your hands off me. I said keep them away, I need a bit more time…”

At last we had her trapped, one of the guards chained her. Looking around, she smiled sweetly, ” I’m too pretty for chains, maybe you’ll help me? 100,000 gold pieces, to the men who fight for me.” Our only response was commanding the Dragons to guard her. They seemed only to happy to do so as they threatened her. Pushing away she ran to the docks. Just before jumping in, she taunted us. You think I’m in trouble, it’s you. There is no one after me. They’re after you.” then laughing she dove into the water. I hurried to the water looking for some sign of her. Would she would rather drown than be captured. I shook my head. No she is too smart for that. I knew we would see her again.

 

 

Just then I heard Agais . “I saw the fighting and followed it as quickly as I could.” Agaris sighed, “I still got here too late. He listened to our reports. In disbelief, he asked if she had really jumped into the water. “Is she insane?”

“Insane or very clever.” I answered. “She did say that she had a ship close by.” “She didn’t have to jump in the water to escape. Why not just board a docked ship?’ I asked.

“No,” Agaris agreed. She made her way down here to prove a point. She knew that after diving into the water, she could ride the current down the shore line.” Frowning he asked, “You said that she was trying to steal the statue of Izum?”

“Yes, Agaris and she was surprised when we returned from Skara Brae.” I replied while the others nodded in agreement. ” But who told her we would be gone?”

“I think I can tell you who.”  I spotted one of Merrick’s old friends, Savael by the docks in Skara” Agaris told us.” I don’t believe she knows who gave her the information.” It seemed strange to me that for Merrick try to help her… and then I got to thinking. I think Tolivar was trying to help her. But he couldn’t have known how long we would be distracted in Skara.”

“But why steal the statue. Perhaps to open the door?” I asked Agaris. “Its odd, one group wants the statue, while another is using blood. Could it be you need both?”

“Hum.. perhaps. Tolivar seems dead set on keeping Merrick from finding the Treasure. At the same time not giving Elise what she needs to get to it?” Agaris wrinkled his head in thought, “It’s like… helping but, tying one hand behind your back. Just enough help, for them to fail.”

“Well, if we assume the treasure is something or someone important to Merrick.” Thalia added. “Tolivar may have been the one responsible for trapping it or her.”

“I believe you are right. That must be why Merrick turned on him,trying to turn him in and getting him out of the way.  I’m going to go out on a limb here and say Tolivar knows exactly what is going on. The door seems to be the key. I remember something about “Izumu” guarding it, or something. I will have to go back and see if i can find. With what has happened, it is a good thing I convinced Evidias to spell down the remaining objects, after what Merrick did.”

“We still haven’t found the Tokuno connection,” I added. “I have a feeling the connection is very important.”

Rubbing his head, Agaris nodded. ” I need to go about moving things. I will have Evidias move the statue  and anything related to the ancient treasure to the Mongbat village, in the Lost Lands. I feel better having Iskur and the Weld keep an eye on the items. I apologize but we will speak again soon. I need to tell Corian we’ve brought him a guest as well. The killer, clearly knows more, and who hired him.”

 

 

After Agaris left, we contiuned to discuss the events. “Merrick clearly knew more than he said about it. He clearly deflected us from following up.” Thalia said.

“There are 10 more statues. Maybe one of those will be used. Or are they being used to hid the real one?” Catalyst added.”

I nodded, “There is still so many questions. Who is doing the prepretaion to open the door? Who’s blood is needed and why, to summon a deamon?”

Thalia thought for a momunt, “Remember Dahlia’s reaction to the statue, she said it seemed like it was watching.”

“Yes, I agreed, “She wouldn’t even stand next to it.” At last we left for our homes, with much to think about. So many clues that seemed to lead to no where. Perhaps a goodnight sleep would help clear up the matters. Dreams tell many things.

Luna is Starting to Look  a lot Like Christmas

We are into the second week of the December and the holiday glow is all around us. Our holiday gifts with the new gift boxes wrapped in new and bold papers and bows has added to the season décor . This morning I took a quick ride around within the city walls of Luna to see how the merchants have decked the halls and a few have really gone the nine yards and below are  screenshots of those plots.

For many this time of year is the only time they decorate or do plot design changes. If you know of a plot that is donned for the season and you would like it featured here please drop a marked rune in my Luna mailbox. I will be sure to visit it.

Governor Pandora continues her campaign to remain governor of Britain this term at the request of her citizens. The long time citizen of Britain plans to work on finishing the construction of a hospital in Britain, adding courses to the Bard’s Collegium, and once again promoting the library through her events if re-elected. When asked about the accusations that she is unavailable Pandora responded by discussing her many town hall meetings, and the amount of work the jail and hospital required.

Governor Nails Warstein continues his campaign to remain governor of New Magincia this term. He hopes to continue to lead the city in prospering through it’s inherent virtue of humility. Though he is a broker by trade, Governor Warstein has personally helped protect and defend the city from many threats. When asked about his plans for the city should he be re-elected, he spoke of an event to promote the city, and an ongoing project to build an auction house inside the city that would be open to any citizen. He has vowed to devote his attention solely to New Magincia and it’s citizens by not seeking office elsewhere this term.

Many of you should be aware of Inkboy’s bid to replace the controversial governor of Minoc through his many events the past few weeks. His long history with the city of Minoc has encouraged him to run in order to help build the city back up and place it firmly in the center of the community. Throughout our talk his enthusiasm for both the community and elections shone brightly. He wished his competition well in the elections and has planned a party in celebration, regardless of who wins the bid for governor. When asked why he chose to build in Malas instead of Minoc he replied that while he had some plots in Minoc, and plans to acquire more, Luna offered both the space and the population needed in order to begin the process of familiarization, claiming that “Without the Governor’s seat my efforts within Minoc are as limited as my space is there, at the moment.”
