Township Mission Adventures, Multiple Locations – March 17-21st 2012

This weeks Mission Adventures took us to Exotic locations within the Distant lands of Ilshenar, all the way down into the sticky  depths of the Underworld. The Townships of Kijustsu Anei, Area 51, Zedland City, and Moria Village joined forces to launch a major offensive upon some of the lands most Dangerous and Vile Creatures.

 Over the last several days the guilds Empire of Valor, Alien Beings,  The Samsonites, Shadow Hunters Empire, Strangers With Candy, Friends Seeking Halibut, and Knights of Shriad were conducting operations to raid and pillage the strongholds of Navrey Night-Eyes, Lady Melisande,  and Twaulo of the Glad.

Their primary objective was to secure and deliver Magical Artifacts from the looted out strongholds and deliver them to New Magincia, for use by the townships defense forces. The Mission and overall operation was a great success! Forces reported securing Tangles, Mana Phasing Orbs, Night Eyes, Essence, Transcendence Scrolls, and Surge Shields along with many other artifacts.

Mission Coordinators Lord Flibby, Janitor Pooper, Lady Vadinator, Eric Northman and Lord Gareth reported only minor injuries and zero causalities. They were also pleased to  report a larger number of Artifacts then original anticipated were recovered from the Strongholds and requested that additional SKS Cargo ships be dispatched to Trinsic for shipment to New Magincia.

Thursday March 15th – This will once again bring us into Ilshenar for further investigations picking up where we left off.

Monday, March 19th “Lords and Land” – This will be a roleplay centric event that will deal with a dispute between Britan and Trinsic, resulting from the failed delivery of Golden Tunies we encourage everyone to participate. Remember….your actions will have consequences, so nobody go injecting anyone with Dragon’s Blood

Saturday, March 24th “Tow If By Sea” – This will be a combat oriented, high seas utilizing event the outcome of the Lords and Land event will steer the Two If By Sea event

EM Announcements

() Raiders will continue to spawn in the various Cities of Britannia keep an ear on the Town Criers for more details

() We will also be surveying the lands Chesapeake has over 20 banners built for various Townships and not nearly all of them are active anymore. So over the next few months we will be looking into those banners that have been built and are no longer supported or have otherwise been deserted will be demolished.

() People have sent us emails in the past letting us know they’ve been away for a while which is fine. The reason for this is because those Townshps that are linked to the Teleporter Hub with a banner, when new visitors to Chesapeake visit the hub and go to these townships to find them deserted it’s really not serving its purpose. We just wanted to let everyone know that over the next few months we will be looking into this

Tamith: You know we’ve moved our town to fell and all i have to say is id appreciate it if it could be moved soon. our town is active ty that all i had. Removing town banners, by what criteria. Population of towns, availability of players is in flux. Ups and downs are part of UO.

Elder EM Dudley: I will poke Mesanna bout it again. If you email us and say hey, we’re still here just not around as much That’s fine. We’ve responded to that in the past and it’s understandable. Attending Township Events, making your Township known, holding events, Attending Hall of Commons meetings. Those sorts of things are fine and we obviously won’t remove any that fall into those criteria. We’re talking about banners that were built and we haven’t heard a peep from the Township in months. Its not fair to the community, Its not fair to the people who are active

Winfield: A few weeks ago you asked if townships would support a town that was having rioters and such. Our PaxLair Alliance is supporting Skara Brae, we did a news announcement and article on Stratics a bit ago, so just wanted to let you know we are doing well there, have an armada of ships there hold our weekly meetings there now. And we have at times defenses in the streets with boxes. I commend the alliance and all others coming to Skara to aid the city. Propaganda in Skara is bad at times, books saying PaxLair should be Driven out. Seems some factions inside the city are more than just rioters. Some local townsfolk and such we will keep an eye on the diplomacy there too Thanks, I’m finished.

Elder EM Dudley: We are hoping to really get things moving with the “Lord and Land” event

Elder EM Dudley: You’ll have to see the Vesper Mint regarding that As they are caretakers of all kisses. It’s against the rules for EMs to give kisses while conducting Hall of Commons meetings

Celestial Knight: throws rotten egg @ dudley why do u allow some to speak out of turn and wait for others to type then say, or tell too to wait. The goblins type all the time you allow it

Elder EM Dudley: We’ve been doing Hall of Commons meetings this way since the beginning. It’s a lot easier if I get out the announcements then open the forum for questions. If it gets to be exceptionally disruptive I will take action

Celestial Knight: untrue statemt dudley you do and say zero to them every sunday its the same but movening on because i know whats comeing next you do not care plus its your house Boss. My banner and town of act will be moved ill try and speak with someone else other then you to have it moved ty oh yes lastnites event unfair to a few because of a bug on your all part

Elder EM Dudley: I will please ask the Goblins to take their seats And remain quiet during the open forum If you wish to request a banner be moved you can submit the request to me I will pass it along to Mesanna. Are you asking me about moving a banner or last night’s event?

Elder EM Dudley: As far as the banner if you want it moved you can submit the request to me. I will pass it along ot Mesanna She is the only person who can move them and there is only one of her. She is extraordinarily busy but we do our best to get things done

Elder EM Dudley: As far as the event last night the bug in question didn’t effect the outcome of the event in any way. The way the mechanic works is you don’t have to wait for anything If you deal a lot of damage or do a lot of healing You have a very good chance at getting a prize

Celestial Knight: Hmm i understand its about the story line i am with you on that but a few players wait and wait for a drop and you call it bugged with those eggshells got thier hopes up and kicked them down but its okay i am finished thx

The Historical Society has begun placing Recognition Flags at Famous and Historical building locations such as the PaxLair Twin Towers in PaxLair City and the Dragons Watch City Hall/Office of Transportation.

We have begun creating a Historical Locations Runebook section at the H-J Rune Library in Kijustsu Anei Village (Nearest Moongate is Homare-Jima, Tokuno Islands) As more locations are discovered and or submitted we will add them to the runebooks. Below you will find a list of locations already marked and keep an eye out for a more detailed report on each location.

Orcish Hordes Launch Assaults Into Central Kijustsu Anei Village

After defeating the Orcish Armada off the coast of Homare-Jima a few nights ago. The inhabitants and patrol guards were given a well-deserved break to celebrate their latest victory and enjoy all the wonderful spoils the Island had to offer.

With Lemony drinks in hand many enjoyed gambling away their weekly pay on a good Cat fight, while some of our more extreme thrill seekers gambled with their very lives for a chance to prove their great Ninjutsu skills by stealthing into Niva’s Hunting Lodge undetected and swiping a jar of her tribes paint….but they weren’t the only ones moving about the area undetected….

…behind the valorite ore rich mountains North-West of the Village, Orcish transport vessels had just completed their final drop. Only a few Patrol Guards remained on duty to escort Gareth the Mage and Janitor Pooper to the Temporary Guard Headquarters located inside the Dead CaT Clock Tower.

Ozog Giantfart was the first to sight the foul looking creatures near the Shrine of Lemony freshness. He quickly ran towards them and stopped a few feet away taking up a defensive stance which resulted in the Orcs quickly covering their mouths as they began laughing at the short and tiny weak Goblin. He may be short and his body may be tiny but he has the biggest stones around and used them to triple his size before laying waste to the small scouting party.

Meanwhile “HA-OOH! HA-OOH! HA-OOH!” echoed through the alleyways of the village as SKS and PITS Transport pack animals emerged from the Homare-Jima Moongate, lead by Gareth the Mage. Village Defense Leader Niva the Savage and her assistant Sinthe were charged with protection…even Gareths. The Orcs wasted no time and ambushed the group and forcing them to flee down the Lost Souls road. The Orcs had planned their ambushing locations well, forcing Gareth to take refuge in the Shrine of Lemony Freshness to keep the animals safe.

Patrol Guard Reinforcements arrived minutes before the main invasion forces occupied the the downtown area. DRECKO, Lady Viktoria, Mourning Star and Damon began slicing through Orcish forces like butter.

Retreat orders were given by the Orc Scout Captain as Lady Mourning Star slaughtered 70 Orc Scouts with only a few strikes and is to be awarded one of Kijustsu Anei Villages highest Medal of Heroism. The Patrol Guard will be continuing to protect the town and instigate the Orcish matter further,

Town of Gargouille Shallows Township Banner Constructed, Yew Area Felucca

The town name was named after this creature Gargouille to remind use were we come from. It is also claimed that the word “gargoyale” is derived from the name of this monster. The word shallows was used for being a small part of the Gargoyale race stretching from Ter Mur. So we call the town Gargouille Shallows.

Being from the Royal City of Ter Mur and living a refugee’s life was not good. Many of us were packed into the camps with really no place to call home. We knew it was time to leave and search for a home. The trail would be hard but in the end a place to call home would be worth the struggles. We started out as a small group of lost Gargoyles befriending a few Humans and Elves on the way. Passing through many regions we found a long abandoned town Duir of Yew. Started to make are home there we found out why it was abandoned so long ago. There are many groups of evil factions which take pleasure in raiding and killing all who stand in their way. It is our home now and we will not leave for any reason. We have traveled long and endured many obstacles to find a place we called home. Now is the time to stand together and fight for our new home. USS Victory Defeated! Cove Orc Fort

The famous fishermen Lord Bishop E*V from the City of Kijustsu Anei Village found his vessel at the mercy of the USS Victory (Owner Unknown) and unable to maneuver around the perfectly positioned ship for a number of weeks, thus preventing him and his crew from enjoying fishing on the High Seas and delivering fishmonger orders on time.

Along side the E*V and in the same predicament was the Lady Rose UFO Fleet vessel from the Township of Area 51. Both ships were left with only a few options and one was unacceptable to them, and that was allowing the USS Victory to force them to cancel their current Fishmonger Quests and damage their standing.

Gareth the Mage and Janitor Pooper were contacted to assess the situation and determine if anything could be done. Gareth the Mage smiled at the crew of the E*V and ordered the Janitor to make the E*V and UFO Vessels shine for they would be departing into open water soon.

Later that night after the ships were given a good scrubbing…..twice Gareth the Mage returned and this time with the “Olmecian Cyclone of Tides” in his hand. With one quick flick of the wrist the USS Victory was tossed to the side like a toy boat, allowing the E*V and UFO vessel to depart and continue on their Fishmongering ways.

Bare feet tread lightly across the abyssal dock. Smiling to the dolphin as it flipped and twisted in the water she made her way across the boards. Cecilie was generally fashionably late for appointments. As the muses would have it, she was the early one this time. Her skirt drifted and bounced as she walked. It wasn’t until she turned to gaze back down to the entrance that she realized someone was watching her. Placing a hand over her eyes to block out the midday glare, she blinked. Heavily robed, the figure whom she guessed to be Taliesin, seemed impending. That was.. until she took note of the thin arms jutting out from the sleeves. His steps were purposeful but not heavy. The air about him seemed to hum with something just beyond her tangible reach and yet the closer he got, the friendlier the smile.

“Taliesin?”

“Cecilie?” He tilted his head, the corner of his mouth upturning into a crook.

If it was one that struck her immediately it was that he was a contradiction in terms. Everything he seemed to be and not at all.

“Exactly what -is- your job function?”

“I go where my Master cannot.” He laughed lightly adding a sparkle to his eyes. The expression on his face was meant to be placating.

“You mean Mr. SuperKen?”  Pulling out her quill and piece of parchment she plopped down unceremoniously with her tush on the dock and her legs crossed. He stood over her, observing for a moment. Nodding slowly, he lowered himself to her level.

“My employer is easily recognized and there are many…” He paused for a moment considering his words. “Pitfalls that come with a familiar name and face. I act as an envoy.”

“And a gopher, do you not?” Turning her bright blue eyes up to his.

“I do a great many things for him. I started out as a bard.”

“As in playing music, singing, the whole bit?”
“Aye. There were many praises to give for My Lord.” A smile twitched across his face then, lighting up his somber yet playful eyes only adding to the contradiction that was Taliesin.

“I have yet to hear you sing.”

“I rarely do it these days. I have taken to playing with my wand now that the Exalted has no use for songs.”

“Is it a big wand?”

“See for yourself!”

Taliesin, true to his word, withdrew a brilliantly colored staff both bejeweled and practical. Cecilie, could certainly see why it was so favored.

“Have you had to demonstrate its use for your Lord?”

“Aye. He requires many performances. It makes up for the lack of music.”

“And what of you? This life certainly doesn’t lend itself to settling down. You are not married then correct?”

“No, I’m afraid I’ve never found the time. Eventually his Highness will get bored with the wand and wish me to move on. But ever present is my traveling. That is my main function.”

“Yes, I’ve seen you at many of the political functions in his stead.”

Picking up her parchment, Cecilie rose from her seated position and thanked him for his time. “I reserve the right to ask additional questions later.”

Grinning, he tilted his head as if the invite were with wide open arms. “I look forward to it.”
