Earlier this week I posted some great and fun Autumn and Halloween decor created on Catskills and Great Lakes. I sent out a flyer ( in that post ) for any interested to drop me a rune to their plot or send the cords my way. A player by the name Event Horizon did just that and below are a couple screenshots of that plot.

Not only was the place in full decor but the Jack o’ Lantern names that were selected were icing on the cake. Those names are, Destroyer, Silent Death, Apocalypse, Bleak, Rigor Mortis,  Mistake Death, Soultaker, Hell’s Edge, Evil Twin, Wicked, Carnage, Angel of Death, Slayer, Bone Dancer and Deadman.

Another seasonal delight is Czesl owned by twoburntforyou. This detailed plot overlooks Gravewater Lake, a popular fishing destination.

The -Y- Guild Auction House ( a.k.a. Carlaina’s Work Shop) is also decorated for Halloween. This is not a public auction house but only for -Y- members and it is held once a month at this location and the deco is changed every month.

Keep those decorater tools working folks ! I look forword to the Christmas Season to see what you all come up with.

Starting  Oct 21st   The Guild of Friends will be celebrating in game their 13th anniversary.   Friday night during the opening event  they will be dropping a fully loaded tower   on the south end of GOF Valley as a idoc free for all.  At this time the estimate  is about 50mill worth in the tower but many items are still being added. The target time for the drop will be around 8pm cst .

Autumn is here and Halloween is right around the corner. As a reporter for both Catskills and Great Lakes I traveled both lands to seek out autumnal and spooky designed plots and did I find them.  Both shards have some amazing designers and decor queens not to mention fashionistas.

 ~ KILLER PUMPKINS HAVE ARRIVED ~

 

Pumpkin patches all over the lands are spawning Killer Pumpkins. Beware of these cute orange seasonal decorations as these pumpkins will get up and chase you! It happened to me just hours ago. I was able to defeat the beast and to my delight there was a sweet treat and a new mask on its corpse. No doubt as like in years past the pumpkin patches all over the realm will be well visited in the next six weeks.

Killer Pumpkins were not the only seasonal event going on this evening. Tonight was the EM run Autumn Bonfire held at the Faire Grounds hosted by Zox Greatsnapper and Cidur Klomp. I arrived very early at this event to catch our very own EM Elizabella decorating for the evenings games and fun.

I was not the only early arrival. Ullyses Grant, Venom, Lady Martyna Z’muir, S Sniper, Sofia, Lady Beryl Markham and Alex arrived shortly after me.   The bonfire itself was huge and impressive. Dyr Sativa coined it in one word, ” Awesome”.

                            

I was not able to stay for the entire event as I had company to my house so I popped back and forth from guests to computer. The first event was the Fire Fish Weight-In and Tunna of FCB took first place. If you remember from the last fishing event Tunna also took first place. Rumor has it Tunna spent the past three days fishing to catch that whooper!

 

I missed the second game which was Bessie Bingo while I poured cocktails for my dinner guests. I heard that there was a split winning and one of the  winners was Dyr The Hand from FCB. The Autumn Archery was next and I did make it to witness the tail end and Lord Kafka’s big win.

A few ” Wild Goose” were killed before I had to return to my house guests. It was yet another great event on Great Lakes with great people ( a few bad ones also :0 ) and great EMs. Please feel free to add more details on the Great Lakes boards about this event.

 ~ Clean Up Britannia Brings New Costumes ~

The long awaited return of Clean Up Britannia is finally here. I know I am excited about it and the four hundred available lockdowns in my house. All those hoarders out there are finally making good with their obsessions.

Many of the old turn in rewards are there and a few new ones in the menu. No  doubt many are excited about the new blessed deeds and armour.  As a plant lover those new lily pads will no doubt be used in future decor at my manse.

It was a surprise and a treat to see two new costumes on the clean up menu.

Tomorrow is the first day of autumn which means halloween is right around the corner. Also right around the corner is the halloween event. What a perfect time to acquire a new costume!

The two new costumes are a Giant Toad and the Zombie. Below is the new zombie costume.

This costume got me all inspired and I took out my costumes from last year and tried them on and here they are starting with my favorite the Bloodworm.

Autumn is almost upon us and several times a year I post  ” From The Desk of Lady Lava”. It is that time of year again and what a summer it has been. Great Lakes was a busy shard this past spring and summer with many EM and player run events to keep us entertained, not to mention all those salty fisherman still at sea and excited about the next catch after High Seas.

On a personal note I did get a lot of play time in during the hot months. I live in the desert so one stays indoors the months of July and August. I did beat the heat and left my AC condo to travel to San Deigo for a week at the beach, a long weekend in LA and a week in the mountains at Big Bear Lake. Summer is now a memory and many players have returned to school and work schedules have changed for some and the flow in the realm seems to have changed as it always does this time of year.

Things have changed some with Stratics also. The program we used to post the news NewsPro is now history and we use WordPress. Actually this is my first post with WordPress and I am keeping my fingers crossed I do not mess it up badly. Though my sig states I have been reporting  for seven years this gal has been around actually nine.  Sometimes it is hard to teach an old dog new tricks but I received much positive support from everyone here at Stratics I had to take a stab at it as I love Great Lakes and I love being a news reporter.

My thanks go out to EM Malachi and EM Elizabella for everything they have done to keep Great Lakes exciting and fresh. The weekly spy meetings are well attended. I go to at least one a month even though the lag monster usually gets me which rarely happens any other time but they are great fun. This evening the EMs had a Meet and Greet. I popped in to say hi before I went to spawn where I was murdered by those infamous  DC* folks. It was all in good fun. I rarely travel to the dark side and when I do I expect to be killed as this girl cannot PvP.

Very soon we have the clean up/ turn in to look forward to and the much awaited halloween event starting October first. Before that though there is the Autumn Bonfire on September 30th 8:00PM central. Be sure to check out the EM boards for all the information listed for each month.
