March Fishing Competition Report.

Greetings Fishermen and Citizens of Sosaria.
The March fishing competition has come to an end, and winners have been found of the fishing competition.
First i would like to apologize for being fashionable late, but my bed wouldn’t let me go in proper time.
In total there was 7 fishermen and fisherwomen with fish to enter into the competition, which was found at the post event in front of West Britain Bank on Sunday 18th of March from 19:40 (sorry again).
The categories as listed on the announcement, was:

-Heaviest Dungeon Fish

-Heaviest Crab or Lobster

Heaviest Common Rare Fish

Heaviest Uncommon Rare Fish

Here are the winners of the competition:

Heaviest Dungeon:

 Fish Lady miracles won with a Reaper fish on 179 Stones.

 
Heaviest Crab or Lobster:

 Seoman won with a Stone Crab on 114 Stones.

 
Heaviest Common Rare Fish:

 Inken Sturmbraue won with a Big Fish on 178 Stones.

 
Heaviest Uncommon Rare:

 Fish Allanon won with a Zombie Fish on 172 Stones.

 

Each of the winners recieve 1,000,000 Gold Pieces!

Grand Opening!

I was invited to the grand opening of the Blackrock Casino.

I could not let something like this go pass by without to have a look myself to a opening of establishment that not happens often.

There would be runes around the bank to go to the casino but i decided to go to it trough the teleporters hub in New Magincia.

The teleporter took me right in to the Casino.

There i was welcomed by the owners and the employees of the establishment.

On this first night we all had a free chance on the many slot machines.

The slot machines are available for everyone 24 hours a day.

I saw several players at a table where they would play a little with the dices.

But before i could gamble ,i changed some gold into smaller checks for the games.

There where several games to try but i decided ,like many other gamblers,to play some Blackjack.

I did not do too bad on the first attempts but keeping gambling got high risks.

Some of us lost and some of us won some gold but i guess that’s how it all works in a casino.

I tried my luck on a new table, maybe i would win a little more there.

It was clear that people where having a really good time.

I noticed a special High Roller Club for the really lucky gamblers that play very often.

Later on the evening there would be a raffle.

You could buy some tickets and get some nice prices.

I was getting tired but i could not resist to have a look at the roof.

Its a very nice big chessboard.

This first opening evening looks like a big success.

And i was told some big prices where won on the slot machines too.

I heard that the special evenings could be hold in the casino every two weeks, maybe more often depending on the success.

I know i will be visit this place again and i can only recommend everyone to try it too!

Blackrock Casino Grand Opening!

Greetings Travelers, Gamblers and Citizens of Sosaria.
I have been honored with the duty to announce the Grand Opening of the Blackrock Casino.
This will happen this Saturday:

The 17th of March 2012 from 19:00 CET/MEZ (18:00 GMT/UTC).

In the Blackrock Casino:

Opening Night Raffle

On opening night there will be a raffle for items to be won, These are no ordenary items, they will be displayed in chest(s) near the stage on the 2nd floor of the casino, untill they are won.
Tickets for this will be purchaseable from a vendor near or on the stage, Only on opening night!

On event nights the tables are Open:

You can then bet your gold on different dice games. The rules and the different games are explained at a golden book at the tables both in German and English.

Allowed sizes of bets are 100k, 500k and 1 million. Returns are 1:1 unless otherwise specified in the book.

If you don’t have any ready checks to bet, there are check exchangers available, that sell checks of amounts to bet.

Later on, there will also be served alcohol from the lovely waitresses.

Slot machines always open:

 You can always play the slot machines found on the base floor.

This works as following:

1. Buy a key of the vendor

 2. Try and see if it fits in the box that is locate on top of the slot machine.

3. If it fits, open the box and whats in it is yours to keep!

WIN EXTRA: With the content of the box is a book which contains a code, write your name and contact info in the book and drop in the mailbox at the entrance for a chance at the monthly giveaways.

Other Games:

The board game vendor on the roof and sorrounding tables also offer games that doesn’t make you risk your gold. This is also open for casual gamers 24/7.

Getting to the casino is easy.

There are 3 teleporters in place to the casino at the following locations:

-Drachenfels Teleport Hub

-Knuckleheads Auction House

-Chicken Arena (Just north of S-Mart)

Runes will also be dropped on the day of the event.

Netherworld.

Professor Grimm rushed in the counselors hall where we where waiting for news from him on the crack to the netherworld.

“Hello good evening” he said.

“We don’t have much time,there are entering more and more elemental creatures trough the corrupt gate.

I could not find out anything about the gate, so i need to find out on what my friend was working in hit tower.

In meantime that you all fighting the creatures, I will analyze the gate to find out how to close it!

Ok no time to waste,it’s very critical there!”

The professor opened a gate back to the abyss and we all followed him trough it.

Many elementals where waiting our arrival.

It seem to came no end to the elementals coming out the crack to the netherworld.

And even more stronger and stranger elementals made there appearance.

While we where busy fighting these creatures, the professor was busy investigating the ruins of his friends house.

We had our hands more then full with the creatures.

But it was a  good thing that many of these brave warriors worked well together!

Then things started to become more quiet.

It seemed that the professor was able to close the gate.

“We where able to defeat this place!

Very good work!

The gate is gone but not destroyed!

It’s still on Sosaria!

It had moved to another place!

I had enough time to analyze the gate, but to be honest… I did not find out much!

At least i was able to track the magical structure behind the gate, but this structure is totally new to me!

I saw several energy veins coming from different directions.

Now i can still see some leftovers of the veins , one is stronger then the others.

I think at the end of this stronger vein will be the gate.

At the moment i can’t tell you where the end of the vein is, so you have to search for the gate!

In meantime, as the place here is safe now, I will search the ruin of my friend’s tower about the experiment he was doing here!

If one of you find the new location of the gate, I beg you to leave me a note in the mailbox near our auditorium!”

“As soon as we have the location and i found out more about this all you will hear for me!

Now hurry! Search for the gate!

Good night and good luck!!” Said the professor.

Fishing Competition!

We will be hosting another fishing competition, but slightly different this time, due to the feedback we recieved.
Event will take place on: 13th to 17th of March 2012. In this time you may catch fish to enter into the competition.

Note that The day start at serverup, so it is from 13th @ Server-Up to 18th @ Server-Up
The Categories There will be 4 categories for this event, the categories are:

-Heaviest Dungeon Fish

Any rare fish caught in a dungeon.

First Place Prize In Category:1.000.000gp

-Heaviest Crab/Lobster

Any rare crab or lobster that holds a date caught.

First Place Prize In Category:1.000.000gp

-Heaviest Common Rare Fish

Yellowtail baracuda, Great Barracuda, Big Fish, Autumn Dragonfish, Holy Mackerel or Giant Koi.

First Place Prize In Category:1.000.000gp

-Heaviest Uncommon Rare Fish

 Any other Rare fish that doesnt fit in other categories.

First Place Prize In Category: 1.000.000gp

We would love if we could keep the winning fish/crab/lobster, to make a trophy from to put in our shop. But if you wish it returned for whichever purpose that is OK too.

Rules :

Here are the rules of the competition.

-A fisherman, or fisherwoman, may only enter one total fish in one of the categories.

-The fish shall hold the date caught on it that is 3/13/2012, 3/14/2012, 3/15/2012, 3/16/2012 or 3/17/2012.

-The fish must hold the name of the fisherman, or fisherwoman, at the post event that hand it in.

If you have questions regarding the rules, you can ask us in general chat, ingame, or reply to the thread.

Winner will be found at the post event.

Drachenfels Teleportation Hub!

Hello Everyone.
We have been working hard on carrying our latest ambitions out in the lands of Sosaria.
.. Now It is here!
Introducing the Drachenfels Teleportation Hub found in New Magincia on the plot formerly known as SE-1, just of the center of the playertown that is New Magincia.

With this hub you can reach community places on drachenfels, currently holds 5 teleporters, but we hope it will expand in future. Our limit is 21 teleporters.
On each teleporter is a book with name of the destination, and deco on a pedestal to give you clues where it is heading.
You too can get Your establishment linked in this hub. Please read the book locked down at the entrance and post on bullitin board if you are interested.

The Gardens of Drachenfels.

Part 3

I wished some of these gardens could tell us the stories about there owners.

Tell us what kind of person they are.

Maybe the gardens belong to a incredible mage,a mighty warrior or even a cruel murderer?

Catastrophe.

Several weeks i ago i heard there been a collapse on the tunnels that leads to Central of Ilshenar.

Today i was told that the passage was cleared to the north of the shrine of Honor.

I was curious on what happened there so i headed to the Gargoyle City.

At first everything was looking normal until i reached the desert.

My eyes caught a blood trail on the ground.

The trail leaded me inside the Gargoyle City and in the medical facility of the town.

I saw a very badly injured Jukan on one of the beds.

A little further in the hospital i saw another Juka standing guard.

I had to ask him what happened and greeted him first:

– Greetings!

– I am Shirron Argahrok, and i greet you with respect and honor, adventurer. I wonder can you help?

– How can i help?

– My faithful Waymaster, Harlann, has been severely injured during the catastrophe that befell us.

– Don’t you have people to help yo with the injured ?

– With my people scattered, I have nobody to face the dangers necessary for the cure.

– What cure do you need?

– The cure can only be made with certain ingredients… one is found in blood dungeon.

-What do i need from blood dungeon?

– There is a creature in its depths known as a purifying blood elemental… its blood is key.

– What do you need from this creature?

– If you can help by bringing a sample of the purified blood from them, I’ll reward you.

– What reward are you talking about?

– I can show you the ways of climbing and give you equipment to scale the mountain.

– What lies behind the mountain?

– I do not know what lies there after the catastrophe… but there must be something left.

– What cause the catastrophe?

– I am unsure its cause , but many of our people died. Our nightmares became reality.

I agreed to help him even if i know that the Juka are not the most friendly race i have encountered in the past.

Blood dungeon is dangerous so i asked my friend Jessica to go down and get the blood sample.

It did not take long for her to find  the purified blood elemental.

After slain the creature with her mighty companion she took the sample.

She return to the hospital and gave me the item.

I gave the sample to Shirron.

– This will aid greatly. As promised seek the famous mountain climber. Tell him the Shirron sent you.

I knew about this mountain climber, I had seen him before at the gypsy camp at the other entrance of the Center of Ilshenar.

I had to go back and take the moongate to shrine of Compassion.

Inside the gypsy camp i saw Carl.

I approached Carl and told him the Shirron sent me.

– Let me know when you are ready to learn. I am sure the Loremasters await an answer.

– What Loremasters?

– I am sure whatever you find over there would be of interest to the Juka and Meer.

– Where is the Juka Loremaster?

–The Jukan Loremaster can be found near Mistas.

– And where is the Meer Loremaster?

– The Meer Loremaster can be found near Lakeshire.

I heard enough, so i asked Carl if he could show me how to climb the mountain.

With his guidance i reached the other side of the mountain.

I was shocked to see that the Meer catacombs where destroyed and the fortress ones stood there was completely in ruins!

I noticed some strange people hanging around the ruined areas.

Grave robbers!

They where digging and stealing the items that where clearly not from them.

One of them saw me and engaged me with his pickaxe.

I had no choice to defend myself!

I pushed him away with my shield but he kept coming back at me in a very aggressive way.

Its not something i like to do but i had to kill him.

I searched to some of his bags and found some strange items.

They clearly had marks on them of the Jukan and the Meer Race.

I took the items and headed as fast as i could to Lakeshire , the town north west of the shrine of Sacrifice.

The Meer people where friendly and gave me direction to the Loremaster.

– Greetings.

– Greetings traveler, these are most uncertain times for the Meer.

– What uncertain times?

– In an instant our people all had the same nightmare … a great war with the Juka.

– What happened at the great war?

– Our forest was burned to the ground, many of our brothers and sisters died.

– What forest?

– I had a vision of a forest on the other side of the mountain. Many of our heirlooms were lost.

– I saw grave robbers taking your heirlooms!

– I fear they may be lost forever. Should you find any and return them i shall reward thee.

– I don’t need any rewards. What shall i do when i find more of your heirlooms?

– Place them in the storage chest. Prove your loyalty and you can claim a token of your devotion.

After returning several of the Meer’s Heirlooms they gave me this wonderful Meermage statue.

The Loremaster thanked me and explained to me there different kind of items missing.

It was time to head to Mistas.

I used the moongate to the shrine of Justice, it was close enough to head in the Juka territory.

I rode as fast i could towards Mistas.

The Juka warriors in the area did not appreciated my present.

I knew there was a inn just west on the bridge that leads in the town of Mistas.

When i was inside i greeted the Juka that was near the bar.

–Greetings

– I am the Juka Loremaster and i greet you with respect and honor

– Can i help you Loremaster?

– These are most uncertain times for the Juka.

-Why are there uncertain times for the Juka?

-In an instant our people all had the same nightmare, a great war with the Meer.

-What happened in this great war?

– Our fortress was destroyed, where it once stood is now a crater.

– What happened with the fortress

– There was a great flash and the ground shook.In an instant all our heirlooms were destroyed.

-There are still heirlooms, i found some of them.

-I fear they may be lost forever.Should find any and return them I shall reward thee.

– – I don’t need any rewards. What shall i do when i find more of your heirlooms?

– Place them in the storage chest. Prove your loyalty and you can claim a token of your devotion.

I agreed to keep a eye on more of there lost items.

The Loremaster gave me a good description of their lost items.

I know the Juka and the Meer are enemies but i can not choose a side.

For now i am going to try to help them both, i just hope i won’t regret this action in the future.

I have to go back to Central Ilshenar to stop these grave robbers stealing more items and return them to the rightful owners.

The biggest concern on my mind is what happened that cause this catastrophe!
