Loose Ends.

I was standing on top of the watchtower of Drachental to watch over the town.
I been here for several days now since Stella told me that the attack could be at any day.
I saw that today that the Felucca moon was at is highest.
From the watchtower i can see over the whole town.

When i saw Jigsaw fly by i felt something was about to happen.
He is known to be a ally of her.
I looked towards the west and saw a group of Balrons appearing north of the tower.

I sounded the alarm to make notice of this invasion.
But i had no time to fight with these balrons yet, i had first to scout the town for more invaders.
When i ran to the marketplace i saw another group.

Several Fire Daemons came to terrorize the neighborhood.

I had to keep running, i want to reach the towns banner and meet up with other defenders of the town.
But before i reached the banner i ran into several Succubus from Dark Angels Army.

Several of my friends and other towns people came to help.
Together we went from the west of the town to the east.
Cleaning every street one by one.
It did not take to long to get rid of this threat.
We made sure not one of these daemons could escape us.

The defenders made a promise to stay on alert in case more of these daemons make a appearance.
We have a strong feeling this was just the beginning.

There was a meeting with EM Borbarad planned today but my duty is to be on the watchtower to be sure the town stays safe from Dark Angel invading forces.

I sended MJ to the Meeting with EM Borbarad.

It was very crowded in the counselors hall.

The clean-up Drachenfels has ended.
A few people gave runes to Borborad for the clean-up.
Soon he will announce the winner of this event.
He will take us in group to all these spots and then discuss with us if things need to be cleaned or left alone.

And a very important message for all Drachenfels came then.

On five November there will be a special event to defend the honor of Drachenfels against another shard.
It is very important that as many people show up this day for this event.
More details on this event will be placed on Welcome… Willkommen… the official EM web page.

When everyone question was heard and answered Borbarad left us and Elesil made her appearance.
And honestly i think most of the crowd came today for her.

Last time when we helped her with the monstrous Ogre King some Blood Ogres escaped from us.
We could not have these Blood Ogres still run free and plan another theft.
We had to deal with them ones and for all.

Elesil took us back to the entrance of the Ogre fort.
She knew that the Blood Ogres returned back to the area now thinking it was safe to come back.

It was a big mistake of them to think we would let them life.
They where no pushovers but with this large army it was not much of a problem to deal with them.
As always everyone worked well together.

When the last Blood Ogre fell , Elesil was very happy that it was all done.
The world was ones again a little bit safer.
We will there for her again when she needs us!

Dear Sosarians,

The new governor of Serpent´s Hold, Lan Mandragoran, is in dire need of a new outfit. We are calling all tailors of Sosaria to provide a suitable design.

Anyone who would like to present a design is invited to Serpents Hold, Fisherman´s Brew, 24 October, 21.00.

The most convincing design will be rewarded by a Novo Bleue (2-piece) set.

Conditions:

– Designs should correspond to the naval setting of Serpent´s Hold and the Virtues of Sosaria
– Tailors are free to choose any clothes, colors and materials
– No magical and protective properties are required
– The design should consist of: head, neck, arms, hands, legs and shoes. Cloaks and sashes etc. are very welcome
– Any tailor can present one model. (For alternative designs, please use another char)
– The potential contest winner has to deliver two sets of the design
– The governor can deny any of the designs and thus keep the event unawarded.

We are looking forward to your designs.

Die Bedingungen:

– Der Gouvernour wünscht eine dem maritimen Umfeld Serpent´s Holds sowie den guten Tugenden entsprechende Kleidung
– Stoffe, Farben und Materialien können frei gewählt werden
– Die Kleidung muss keinerlei Rüstungs- oder Magieeigenschaften besitzen, nur das Design zählt
– Der Entwurf sollte aus Kopf, Hals, Armen, Handschuhen, Hose, und Stiefeln bestehen, Umhänge, Scherpen etc. können gern hinzugefügt werden
– Pro Schneider kann nur ein Modell vorgestellt werden und er/sie sollte es zur Begutachtung selbst tragen. (Bitte anderen Char benutzen, falls mehrere Entwürfe vorliegen)
– Der mögliche Preisträger muss seinen Entwurf in zweifacher Ausführung vorlegen.
– Sollte dem Gouverneur kein Modell gefallen, behält er sich die Ausgabe des Preises vor und wird für den Rest seiner Amtszeit Sackleinen tragen

Elesil needed us again and wanted to meet us in the castle throne room.
She was able to decipher part of the old letter we got from the Master Thief.
It seemed that Blackthorn use to be part of a alliance.
Maybe we could find a member of the alliance and interrogate him.

Elesil found out about a entrance to a old ogre fort and maybe there we could find someone to interrogate.

Elesil opened a gate and took us somewhere north of Yew.

We moved our party more to the north to find the entrance to the Ogre fort.
But it took not to long before several dozens Ogres and Ogre Lords attacked us.

They where not really a match for this well organized party.
We where worried for a bit when a few blood ogres made there appearances.
Our worries where for nothing when event the blood Ogres started to flee from our little army.

After a few minutes of fighting we found the entrance to the fort.

The entrance was strange.
The doors of the entrance opened like any normal door but ones inside there seemed to be no exit.
Could only mean this magical entrance needed the right password.
Elesil examined the old letter more closely.
It seemed there was a word on the letter that might be the one she needs.
When she spoke it Elesil disappeared from all our eyes.
A few moments later she reappeared before us again.
She found the entrance and even was able to mark a rune inside the fort to take us there.

More Ogres Lords came towards us all and it was not for a friendly greetings.
We had to fight our way trough a hole bunch Ogres.

We had to keep our eyes out for the leader and see if we could capture him.

After defeating many ogres we found a monstrous Ogre King.

The Ogre King was too aggressive and Elesil understood very fast he would not let him capture alive.

Many heroes fell in this hard battle.

But after a long fight we took down the monstrous Ogre King.

Now that the Ogre King was death we had to find something else that lead us closer to the reason of the robbery.

A strange skull caught our eye.

Maybe the runes on the skull could help us further with our investigation.
She used some wax on the skull to make a copy of the text.
Elesil needed a bit of time to learn more about it.

She thanked us all for our help again and opened a gate back to Britain.
When we arrived back in Britain i met Beatrice.
It seemed she got her hands of one of the monstrous ogre king possession.

It was another part of Lord Blackthorn stolen armor.
She was very happy to hear she was able to keep this nice trophy.

After a long evening it was time for me to go home.
When i arrived at my house my aunt Stella was waiting for me.
She had no good news for me.
She told me that she decoded the book we found on the Daemon General.
She urged me to come with her to the roof of the watchtower.

She explained that the book contains the plans of a major attack on Drachental.
The attack will come in waves to worn us out.
And when the time is right Dark Angel will come herself with a huge army to destroy the town.
The destruction of Drachental will only the first part of her plan for a war against humans.
After Drachental falls every other town will be attacked to destroy humanity and all of there allies.

I asked Stella how we could prevent this.
She shakes her head and told me that there is no time to do that.
We could only hope there will be enough defenders when they attack.

So my last question to her was “When?’

She looked at me and told me that the books says that the attack will start when the Felucca moon is at its highest.

That why she took me to the roof.

She pointed to the sky and showed me that the Felucca moon was almost at his highest.

I understood now why there is no time to prevent this.
Dark Angel and her Daemons are going to attack Drachental very soon.

I know what to do…. I have to warn the town for the invasion.
A war is coming….and we have two choices…

Run!… Or Fight!

Killer Pumpkins!

Every year around October strange things happen in the fields around Sosaria.
This year is no difference.
Some good places to find strange pumpkins are west of Britain and on the main land of Skara Brea.

It took me a while to find me some of these giant pumpkins.

The pumpkins looked similar to the ones from last year but when i went closer to have a better look at them something strange happened.

These pumpkins looked even bigger then last year.
But then a strange sound came from the pumpkin and it started to float.

A strange mask appeared above the floating pumpkin and started to move to wards me.
This killer pumpkin was not happy that i disturbed him and started to attack me.
In all these years this is the first time i had to fight against a pumpkin!

It was not to though and i carved this killer pumpkin up in little pieces.

I had a look inside the pumpkin and found a strange looking masks.

This will look nice to take home for some wall decorations for the Halloween holidays.

After searching more fields i found several more killer pumpkins and collected three different kind of masks.

I will give the masks a nice place at my house.

When Elesil wanted to see us again in the throne room in the castle in Britain we knew she found more about the robbery at the royal treasury.
Like always many adventurers came to her call for help.

After the battle in the orc fort Elesil stayed some time in the fort to give it a thural investigation.
She found some interesting discoveries about a dark elven race.
These dark elf’s are spread around the lands.
But Elesil found some clues where we could find them.
And maybe when we found them they could lead us to the Master Thief.
Elesil told us to the counselors hall where we could find several books with the clues where to find these Dark Elf’s.

We should read these clues and then find the elf’s.
The best way was to work together.
Solve the clues and then go to each location and defeat the dark elf’s.

Book Clues:

1) Felucca: Clue: This place is where to challenge the Champion. Uh what a smell of rats here!

2) Trammel: Clue: The fort from last was too small,let’s find a bigger one near the sea!

3) Tokuno: Clue: She really likes the cold!

4) Tokuno: Clue: No one will look deep in these mines!

5) Ilshenar: Clue: We are always watching you and smite those who are on the wrong path!

6) Ilshenar: Clue: What a long and whinny path. Whats this, a ruined house and a mythical creature guarding it?

7) Trammel: Clue: Excellent place to store our goods, the double D’s guards this temple well!

8 ) Trammel: Clue: The booty should be safe in this passage!

9) Trammel: Clue: these savages to the east of the reptiles should guard them well!

10) Trammel: Clue: This place is not right! So far down too!

We all studied the clues well and we quickly understood where to go. Our first stop was the orc fort near Cove.

We found some strange looking elf in the orc fort.
It was very hostile so we had no choice then to kill him.
When we search the elf’s corpse we found a scroll on his body.
We should take this scroll to Elesil.

We all worked well together and the clues took us all over the world to very different location.
In each place we found a strange dark elf that was carrying a scroll.

Below the Angel Fortress in Ilshenar.

The Daemon Temple on Fire Island.

The Ice area behind the Fan dancers dojo.

The Tokuno Mines.

Dungeon Wrong.

After Dungeon wrong we got the message that we have discovered all ten places and got all the clues we needed.
Back at the counselors hall Elesil gathered all the scrolls to study all the clues on it where the master thief.

It was not hard to figure it out that the Master Thief was hiding in the Ant dungeon.
No time to loose Elesil opened a gate to the entrance of the dungeon.
She took the lead inside the tunnels.
Deeper and deeper we went trough the tunnels.
We came in the heart of the ant lair where the matriarch lives.
And only a short moment when we arrived we spotted the Master Thief.

He was a handful and it took all our good team work to take the master thief down.
Elesil searched his corpse and found some notes.
She found a letter that was very old.
It was a delicate piece of paper that would take some time to decipher.

When Elesil knows more about this old letter she will call on our help again to find out more on the robbery.

It was a long evening and it was time for us all to go home for a well deserved rest.

Elesil wanted us to meet her at the counselors hall in Britain.
She wanted to investigate the murder attempt on professor Grimm further.
I was curious what she found out,its not easy to find information about D.A.
I let some of my scouts search around and found a lead where she was.

Elesil welcomed us and started to explain she been doing her investigation since the attack on Grimm.
It came to her notice that these initial letters D.A. always came back to her with one name only.

Dark Angel!

Then she said she knows one person in the room had a history with this Dark Angel.
She looked at me and confronted me with it.
I could not lie to her about D.A. but i told her it was a bad idea to hunt her down.
Elesil kept asking me if i know where she was.
Finally i told her we found a trace of her on Fire Island.
She wanted to waste no time and opened a gate to the entrance of Hytloth.

Elesil ordered me to lead everyone to D.A. but i had no intention to do that.
I planned to walk around slow and hoped that people would get tired of the search.
A small group of people ran ahead of me but i had no intension at all to hurry myself.
I noticed Elesil was getting upset with this and said that i had to hurry up.
So i mentioned the Daemon Temple in the center of the island.
There are daemons there but not a place Dark Angel would be.

I wanted to keep everyone busy for some time without looking further.
I noticed a strange thing at the temple.
Some Fire Daemons appeared, these normally only found in Ter Mur and the Abyss.

Dark Angel was on the island i started to sense her negative karma.
The more we moved north the stronger i felt her.
I had to move Elesil and her hunting party away from it.
But when i wanted to go more to the west Elesil had enough of me.

I did not want to do this but hunting Dark Angel is a terrible idea.
They have no idea what they up against!
So i told them that they should look for her without me.
I want to help the professor Grimm but not at the cost of more people getting killed.

I left in anger and recalled away.
But i stayed on Fire Island and stayed at a short distance of the hunting party.
They walked further to the north and more Fire Daemons appeared to attack the group.

At the north part of the island there was a cave.
Some golden banners where standing in front of the cave.

Elesil ran inside with the hunting party and found the black cloaked stranger sitting in a golden chair.
Columns of fire surrounded her when they approached.

If D.A. was just sitting there in a chair waiting for us then something is really wrong.
Elesil accused her for the assassination attempt on Grimm and asker her to tell her about the cure for him.
Dark Angel stood up from the chair and then removed her cloak.

I could not believe what i saw.
Dark Angel was wearing a brand new golden battle armor.
She was not here to have a chat with us.
I heard something at the entrance of the cave.

Slowly Dark Angel put on more armor pieces and said she was expecting us.

Then Elesil told everyone to get her.

But this exactly what she wanted, another reason to keep her fighting against humans.
If she is the one who poisoned Grimm she might be the only one with the cure.
Killing her would be a bad idea.
And i know even defeating her is never permanent,she is like a phoenix and every time she returns she grows stronger.

Then D.A. welcomed us to her trap and recalled away.
A Daemon General ran into the cave and started to crash into the hunting party.
Good thing everyone was prepared and took care of the Daemon General.

I ran further in the cave and warned them again that this attack would only make things worse.
Then i had a look at the Generals corpse.
I noticed he was holding a book and a map.

When i looked at the map i noticed it was a map of Drachental.
The town i live in!
It seems that D.A. is planning another major invasion on the town.
I looked at the book and could not make any sense of it.
It was encrypted.
Maybe the book contains more information when she wants to attack the town.

I have to take this book to Stella, She can decode this book.
Dark Angel wants a war with humans and all who help them and she not planning to hide her intension’s.

We need to try to stop her!

Clean up Drachenfels!

From EM Borborad:

Like I announced during the last meet & greet,
I will start from today on a other long term (14 days) Event.
The event is running under the name: Clean Up Drachenfels.
The Target is to find old Event locations, were items have been left behind.
They could be lanterns, walls, land masses and everything else what belongs to decoration.
If you are not sure if the spot or the item you found is valid for this event,just write me an E-Mail or a PM via stratics and ask.
So search Drachenfels for this Items / Spots, and if you find a place,just mark a rune and place it in a Runebook.
Should you not have a Mage or you can’t Mark at the spot, just write the spot coordinates in a normal NPC Book (please seal it).
If you think you found all spots (or enough), drop the rune book or NPC Book into one of my mailboxes. (Please put it in a bag where also should be an extra book with your char name)
The Player who found the most spots (not items) will win!
After that I sighted the locations, we will go together (the date for this I will let you know) to these spots to recover the History behind them.
So get yourself on your pet and find the spots!
