Cleaning up!

EM Borbarad asked us to find some spots from old EM events and mark them on some runes.
Some of these places have abandon items and decorations and need to be looked at.
Some of these items still contain memories and histories of battles that took place.
But some of these items and things that are left behind have no real purpose and could been removed.

But first EM Borbarad wanted to give special thanks to the four people who took time to look for these spots in the last days.

All four where present at the meeting.
And one by one Borbarad placed us all on the stage with him.

And he called us his clean up heroes!

All of them will get a special mention at the EM Museum.

But that was not all.
The three who found most spots also get a extra mentioning in the EM Museum.

Was Claire Repair with 29 spots!

2nd place was Mystery with 16 spots.

3rd place was Pcuvush with 9 spots.

Then it was time to visit some of the spots and discuss if things had to be cleaned or it had to stay.

First stop was a starting line near Umbra.

Its not easy to decide what to keep or not.
The starting line going to be cleaned but Borbarad said if someone needed one for a player event he would gladly rebuild one after you contacted him.

Next stop was at the Zoo.

This wooden gate been bothering me for years.
It had no real purpose. It blocked a entrance to the zoo and the only thing it shows is a sign that a event been canceled.
The gate will be removed.

We visit several places like Trinsic front gate.
In front some left over defenses from a battle in Trinsic.
We decided to leave it alone, its part of our history in a hard battle and a reminder that for peace we sometimes have to fight.

Pcuvush took us to a blocked cave.
He wanted the flowstones removed fro the entrance so we could freely walk in.
But that was not possible because it is a training area for miners.

Many of us not seen the inside but Borbarad was so kind to give us a look inside the cave.

We also had a look to a note on the mainland of Skara Brae.

It was a letter to return the scion to the Obhidians.
It was stolen from them and it started a war against them.

But now this letter has no purpose, maybe it was time to remove it and move it to the EM Museum.

Claire took us to Serpents Hold.

Some strange flying doors are in the middle of the area.
These really had to be removed.

And then Claire took us to a secret place in the Britain sewers.

No one could really remember what and when this strange moongate was from.
Borbarad was going to find out about it if anyone knew.

It was getting late and we went back to the counselors hall.
There still many places to look at but that was for another event.

We where again reminded about the next event on 5 November.
It is really important everyone shows up to defend the honor of Drachenfels!

Happy Halloween!

Anselm had invited us all for some little fun games for Halloween.
It would all start with a ghost run!
Personally I’m much to old to run but my good friend Buzzz Buzzz is used to run around a lot.
The rules where simple, run around as a ghost from the Gung Famer´s Bridge at west Britain to the Zum Zechenden Troll Inn somewhere north of Minoc.
It did not matter what way you took as long you stayed as a ghost.
Everyone lined up nicely for the start.

3..2…1… Go!

All the ghost took of to all kind of directions.
You could really tell some of them are professional ghost runners! *wink*
The tricky part was not only find the shortest route to the Inn but also avoid the many wandering healers that wanted to resurrect you.
After a short time the first ghost arrived at the Inn.

After all ghost runners arrived at the inn ,Anselm invited us to a very nice decorated roof.
Here he would give the result of the first ghost run!

And the winner of the ghost run was….

First place was for Buzzz Buzzz.
Second place for Beatrice.
Third place for Claire.

Then it was time for a second little game.
Anselm had decorated the inn with many pumpkins.
He gave us all a empty book.
We had to count all the pumpkins that where hidden in the Inn.
Not a easy task with so many floors and rooms in the building.

We counted and counted and recounted till we thought we had it right.
We wrote down the number of the amount of pumpkins we thought to see.
After everyone gave back his book to Anselm we went back to the roof.
Anselm revealed that the right amount of pumpkins was 48.
And only one person had counted them all.

And the winner of the pumpkin count contest was….

First place was for Raknar Skarsol.
All 48 pumpkins found.

Second place for Lord Lomi and Ken Masters.
46 pumpkins found.

Then the third event of the evening was the Halloween costume contest.
Everyone did a wonderful job on making some nice costume.
Anselm checked them all out.
After seeing them all he went downstairs to think who had the best costume.
When he came back we all where excited to here who won.
Anselm said it was a difficult decision.

So he decided that everyone won!
And i think that is well deserved for all the effort they all made.

But Anselm had still some prices to give away so he wanted to start a small dice game.

Even i am not to old to trow some dies!

Not that i am good in it!

Again the game was simple.
Everyone would trow the dices two times and the highest total would win.

And the winner of the Halloween dice was…

First place was for Lan Mandragoran he rolled 19.
In his ImaNewbie costume.

FaenGath and Horkan Bladebite both rolled 17.
They both had to trow again to decide second place.

Second place for FaenGath.
Rolled another 17.
Third place for Horkan Bladebite.
Rolled a 14.

Then it was time for some ghost stories.

But for me it was time to go home after a long day.
I thank Anselm and everyone for a wonderful evening.

Pirates!

Elesil was able to locate another brigand band, she ask us to meet her in the throne room of Britain.

After she cleaned up the skull candle from the wax , she was able to decode the runes.
The runes gave a hint to an old pirate band.
Elesil had found some information about them in the city archives.
The pirates had disappeared after getting there hands on some cursed treasure.
The last knowing where about was in Buccaneer’s Den.
So Elesil suggested to go to Buccaneer’s Den and search the town for some hints.
With some luck we would find where the pirate band is.

Everyone spread around the town to search for some clues.
It took not to long before some people discovered a book in a back room of a inn.

In the diary of the book there was a secret place revealed.
Maybe that was the place where the pirate band was hiding.
Elesil took a close look to the coordinates and knew she could open a gate to the place.
She did warn us to be careful because we had no idea what was waiting for us at the other side.

Several undead pirates and skeletal dragons attacked us in the room we arrived.
Good thing we where with many people and came prepared for battle.
Thanks to wonderful team work we where able to clear the first room.
We noticed a pile of gold in a part of the room.

Elesil told us not to touch the cursed pile of gold.
We had no idea what could happen if we did.

There was a secret passage near the gold.
To open the passage we had to use the secret password.
Maybe the name of the leader of the pirate band would be good.

“Guybrush Threepwood”

A gate opened into a new room.
But when we arrived we had to deal with more undead pirates and skeletal dragons.
The room was very tight and it was very difficult to fight against the many undead monsters.
And if that was not enough Captain Guybrush Threepwood himself appeared to fight against us.

He was determined to protect his cursed treasure.
It was a long and hard battle against the captain but eventually he had to fall against all these heroes!

Elesil took a close look to the corpse and found another piece of the stolen Lord Blackthorn’s armor.

We are getting closer to get all the pieces back but there was still some work to do.
We all did deserve some rest after a long hard battle.
Elesil will call on us again when she knows more and also thanked the defenders of Drachental for defending the town.

Elesil did say we had to say vigilant in Drachental, even when it seems more quiet the last days she doubts that the fight is over.

And if i don’t have enough on my mind i noticed a break-in in the storage room of the watchtower when i returned home.
It was strange that someone would try to steal something from the storage room cause most items inside it is old junk and trinkets.
After some inspection of the storage room i found out that only one thing was missing.
Its nothing more then a worthless grey crystal that Buzzz found several years ago in a chest in the daemon temple on fire island.
Not sure why anyone want this crystal,it had no noticeable magical powers.

I need to talk to my brother to raise the security in the watchtower.

Halloween Special Events!

invite you to HALLOWEEN PARTY 2011th.

We want to start Monday 31.10.11 at 20:00 a clock in Britain at the GUNG FAMER´S BRIDGE.
That’s the bridge that lies directly on the large bank.
There you should come only clothed with a coat or fabric scraps and be sure your backpack is empty…Because…WE WANT TO SEE YOU DEAD. Harhar
The first part of the Halloween party called Ghost Run.
We give you a nice poison…drink it, and when you hear the start signal Begin to run.

Your goal is the tavern “Zum zechenden Troll”.Detours and shortcuts are allowed.
The only important thing is go to the destination.
The first three who arriving, receive a small gift.

After a short rest and refreshment at the bar, begins the second part of the event.
A small search and count game – you get more information about this at the Halloween Night.
All this still happens in gray. (you’re still dead at this time).

This was the second part and the third follows at once…After the winner of the game have received a nice gift,
we will change the playground.
We will go to the tavern “FISCHERMAN’S BREW” in Serpent Hold, but not without our Halloween costumes.

Die Spielertavernen der “Zum Zechende Troll” und die RP Taverne “Fisherman’s Brew” aus Serpent Hold, laden ein zur HALLOWEEN-PARTY 2011.

Starten wollen wir das ganze, natürlich am 31.10.11 um 20.00 Uhr….. innn….. BRITAIN an der GUNG FAMER´S BRIDGE, das ist die Brücke die, direkt an der großen Bank liegt.
Dorthin solltet ihr nur mit einem Mantel gekleidet oder Stoffresten erscheinen und möglichst leeren Taschen,.. weil…. WIR WOLLEN EUCH TOT SEHEN. HARHAR.
Ja so ist es, der erste Teil der Halloween-Party startet mit einem GHOST-RUN, heißt, wir geben Euch ein nettes Gift,

Umwege und Abkürzungen sind erlaubt, wichtig ist nur ihr kommt ans Ziel, die drei Erstplatzierten bekommen jeweils ein kleines lohnendes Geschenk.

Nach kurzer Erholung und Erfrischung an der Bar geht es rein in den zweiten Teil des Abends, folgt ein kleines SUCH UND ZÄHLSPIEL,
hierzu gibt es dann an dem Abend mehr Informationen… dieses passiert natürlich alles noch in Eurem netten Geisteroutfitt und immer noch im “ZUM ZECHENDE TROLL”.

Dieses war der zweite Streich und der dritt folgt zugleich, nach dem das Such und Zählspiel beendet ist und auch hierfür die Preise verteilt wurden,

Drachenfels Need You!

EM Borborad asked me to make a extra special announcement for the EM Event on 5 November.
It is very important that as many people come as possible. It is to defend the Honor of our shard!

EM Borborad bat mich, eine ganz besondere Ankündigung für den EM-Ereignis am 5. November zu machen.
Es ist sehr wichtig, dass so viele Menschen wie möglich zu kommen. Es ist die Ehre unserer Scherbe zu verteidigen!

Wie ich schon im letzten Meet & Greet sagte, wir es ein Internationales Champion challenge Turnier geben.

Dabei geht es darum den Server / Shard zu finden der die effizientesten (besten) Spieler hat!

Es werden mehrere Server am Samstag den 5 November 2011 an diesem Turnier teilnehmen.

Folgendermaßen wird das ablaufen:

Am 5 November um ca.20:00 h MEZ werden an verschiedenen Orten (z.B. Luna Bank, Counsellors Hall) Gates zu dem Turnierplatz geöffnet, dieser Platz liegt Übrigens in der Arena in Lost Land. (Sextant Loc. 53o 31′S. 11o 36′E)

Hier bitte ich alle zum Kampf fähigen Spieler (jung und alt) in die Arena zu kommen und gegen den Internationalen Champion anzutreten.

Er wird dort um ca. 20:30 Uhr erscheinen, welchen es gilt schnellst möglich zu erlegen.

Die Zeit die wir benötigen ist das ausschlaggebende!

Der Server der den Champion am schnellsten erlegt, wird zum Gewinner erklärt und erhält eine Trophäe, welche ausgestellt wird.

Ich bitte euch alle mit zu machen, auch wenn Ihr nur einen Schwachen Kämpfer haben solltet, wenn Ihr nur einige HP schaden machen könnt sind wie näher am Ziel!

Also greift euch eure Schwerter, Tiere, Reagenzien, Mistgabeln, Hämmer oder womit auch immer man Schaden anrichten kann, und kommt zur Arena!

Es geht um Ruhm und Ehre! Wenn Ihr zusammenhält werdet Ihr obsiegen!

As I have mentioned during the last Meet & Greet, there will be an international champion challenge tournament
The purpose of the tournament is to find the server/shard that has the most efficient (best) players!
Several servers will participate in that tournament on Saturday the 5th of November 2011.
The procedure is as follows:
On 5th of November at about 2000 hrs CET gates to the tournament area will be opened in various locations (e.g. Luna Bank, Counsellors Hall). The tournament area is located at the Lost Land Arena (Sextant Loc. 53o 31′S. 11o 36′E)
Herewith I ask all fighting capable players (young and old) to join us at the arena to challenge the international champion.
He will appear there at approximately 2030 hrs CET and the objective is to knock him out as quickly as possible.
The time it takes us to fulfil the objective is the prime criteria!
The server that knocks out the champion first will be declared the winner and wins the trophy.
I ask all of you to join in. Even if your fighter is rather weak, you could inflict some HP damage, which takes us nearer to the goal!
So grab your swords, animals, reagents, pitchforks, hammers or whatever is suitable to inflict damage and join us at the arena!
This is about glory and honour! If you stand together you may prevail!

Anselm Pechan Invited us for another dice evening at the Zum Zechenden Troll Inn .

It was time for another round of the dice game Evil Six.

The EVIL SIX rules are simple:

Three rounds are played.
The player is allowed to trow as often as he like the dices, until …
one of the two dice show a “SIX” , then
the player loses all previously accumulated points.
So you should think carefully whether we risk another throw.
You can keep trowing as much you want or pass when you feel a six is coming.

The “EVIL SIX” is from the second trow, You can trow a six in the first trow.

If the player trows with two dices together to roll a six,

for example a three and three so he gets six points credited and may roll on.

After everyone played there first round. All points you earned stay even if you trow a six in the second round.

It was a big success doe this second evil six evening for Anselm. Many more players came for the fun and games and maybe even more for the booze!

Some players are real gamblers and keep trowing with the risk to loose all points.

And here are the results after the three rounds of playing Evil Six.

The new governor of Serpent´s Hold, Lan Mandragoran, was in dire need of a new outfit
He called all tailors of Sosaria to provide a suitable design.

Yesterday evening four tailor showed there designs in front of the governor.

After the first inspection Gabrielle design was not for the governors liking.
It seemed to a bit bright for him.
Gabrielle replied that she used the latest fashion colors.

After the first selection the governor tried the three other outfits.
After a good inspection the governor left and he said he would come back with the winning outfit.
The remaining tailors hold there breath to see who would won.

It was clear that the design of Lady Mysterica was the most liked by the governor.

The design was rewarded by a Novo Bleue set.
A well deserved price for this great tailor!

After a lovely evening Claire thanked us all who came to the contest and offered them a snack and some drinks.

Under Siege!

For several days the town of Drachental is under attack by Dark Angels Army.
Every day more and stronger daemons appear around the town.

I have no idea how long we can deal with them.
I just have a feeling that she is testing the towns defenses.
Every evening it seems quiet at first, too quiet to be honest.
I see a gargoyle flying by the tower and i expect thats Jigsaw.
Jigsaw seems to scout the town first.
Then in a distance i hear Dark Angel herself giving the command to attack.
When i see the first daemons appear i sound the alarm for the towns defenders to come.

Yesterday i ran trough hordes of daemons first to get together with the towns defenders.
Together we are stronger to defeat them.

Last night the biggest attack was around the towns banner.
Several dozen of daemons appeared around the banner.
We did what we could to fight them all off.

Then when we thought it was all over one of Dark Angels Generals appeared.

The general was strong and it took us a while to take him down.
This general was a gargoyle and not a daemon, so it seems that Dark Angel found herself some more allies to help her with this attack.

After we took the general down i tried to see if Dark Angel would show herself to us.
I know she is watching.
But our message to her is clear.
We will not give up!

One of the defenders stayed with the banner when i suggested to run trough the town again to see its secured.
Just in case something returns when we left
We found a few scattered daemons here and there in the town and dealt with them.

When everything was quiet i thanked the people who helped me defend the town.

It was time to go home and rest for all of us.
We have to stay alert, Dark Angel will attack us again.

My old bones are getting tired of these constant fight against these daemons.
But how can i tell my friends and allies that these fights are wearing me down knowing that i brought this enemy on them.
The danger they are in now is my fault.
I thought i had her under control.
I should had stopped her years ago when i still could.
Maybe now she is too powerful to be stopped.

I felt a sleep after watching over the town for hours.

When i woke up this morning everything seemed to be quiet.
I made my patrol on the town.
But when i reached the banner i was shocked from what i saw!

The Banner is burning!
And there is blood,bones and body parts are every where.
There must have been another attack during the night.
It looks like some innocent people been slaughtered around the towns banner.
I even saw teeth marks in some of the bones.
Dark Angel and her army are eating from the humans, its only going to make there blood lust bigger.

We have to stop her but i think the towns defender won’t be enough to stop her.
