The Gardens of Drachenfels.

Part 2

While i am exploring the lands for more gardens i have been amazed by the creativity by the citizens of Britannia!

It is a lot more then just placing a flower or a plant anywhere in there home.

Many of these gardens have had a well thought out idea where to place every item.

You can see the love that have been put into this work.

I gladly show you the next five gardens i selected for this week!

How can i not share all this beauty with you all?

And I already have more gardens to show.

The owners and decorators of these magnificent work of art should be proud of them self.

Lecture.

Professor Grimm wanted to hold a lecture at the counselors hall.

The hall was packed with people when he arrived.

I am not sure if many came for the lecture or that they came to see how the professor is now after he recovered from the murder attempt.

He looked like he was his old self again.

He wanted to give a lecture on Daemons.

To me that is surprising because it was a Daemon who tried to kill him.

But maybe because of that he wanted to do more research on them.

He talked about their names and the meaning and all kind of know-abouts of them.

When i looked around i noticed a lot of people yawning and even closing there eyes a little.

No one left out of courtesy but you can tell not many where interested in this lecture.

Many of us are warriors and adventurers,we don’t like to take notes behind a desk!

The professor had noticed and asked if we more interested in a field trip to a friend who knew more and did some experiments.

There was no doubt that was more something we all like to do.

The professor made a gate and we ended on a bridge inside the Abyss.

It was a short trip to the southwest passed Sutek the mage his building.

Grimm’s friend placed a small mage tower here.

The Professor knocked several times at the door.

There was a sound coming from the inside , someone must still be inside.

The professor kept knocking at the door.

Then suddenly a explosion!

The building blew in pieces and only a few parts left standing after the smoke cleared.

The professor looked between the debris for his friend, there was no sign of him.

Only a strange gate drawed the attention of all of us.

But then strange creatures started to crawl out of the gate.

They where very hostile!

We stopped a first wave but the professor told us to move away from the gate.

It was to dangerous.

We ran to a safe place at the other side of the bridge.

Grimm needed some research on these creatures and how to close the gate.

He told us to return often and fight off these creatures until he knows how to close the gate.

It can take several days before he know what to do.

Until then we have to fight!

He will call on us when he got a solution.

But i wonder…..what happened to his friend?

The Gardens of Drachenfels.

Part 1

Sometimes when we travel the lands of Britannia we forget to look at the beauty this world got.

The Gardens of Drachenfels is going to stop there and have a look at these places and share it with the world. 

This will be a tribute to all the people who spend hours and hours to make their garden a feast to look at.

And maybe they can inspire you to make your own wonderful garden!

Here are the first five i selected for this week.

Are some people not amazing gardeners?

Maybe you even recognise some of them.

And maybe you think, My garden looks as pretty or even better!

No worries, The Gardens of Drachenfels will keep looking for your work and one day yours will be showed to the world too!

Scavenger Hunt.

It was a cold Sunday evening when EM Borbarad summoned us for a mini-event and a Meet and Greet.

People gathered from all over the lands in the counselors hall in Britain.

The hall was crowded again with people who are interested in some fun and games.

EM Borbarad prepared for us a scavenger hunt.

Its been a while since we had one of these and we where excited to get this one started.

The rules are simple, we would all get a book with ten riddles in it.

These riddles would take us to different location where we had to pick up a item.

There was no time to loose to find all the items because after two hours the items would magically disappear.

We all took a book and started to read the riddles.

Some riddles seem easy enough but some where brain crackers!

Here are the ten Riddles and Solutions:

1) Hijacked from other land and now on view…

The EM Museum.

2) Only the right way will bring you to the goal…

The Hedge Maze.

3) Give Meraktus the regards from me…

The Labyrinth.

4) Search where you get reminded of the past…

The Zoo.

5) Also the Gargoyles are fishing…

The Fisherman’s village in Ter Mur

6) Visit the abandoned tower of the mage…

Serpentine Passage.

7) Visit the tent of the four explorers… (Felucca)

Dungeon Khaldun Entrance.

8 ) This Queen is grateful about the failed decay spell of the Meer’s…

Red Solen Ant Hive.

9) Visit the monument of chaos… (Felucca)

Lord Blackthorn Castle.

10) Visit the oasis of mercy…

Shrine of Compassion.

After i found all the items i rushed back to the counselors hall.

EM Borbarad was still there and wanted to see if i found all ten items.

He ask me to gave them to him to verify them all.

And to my own surprise Borbarad called everyone back because there was a winner .

And it looked like i was the first who got them all.

Borbarad would make a plaque with my name on it as winner of this scavenger hunt to place at the EM Museum.

But it did not feel right for me, after all other people helped me too with solving the riddles and even pointed me in the right direction of the items.

No, my name should not be on it!

So i asked Borbarad  to make a change to the plaque.

That the winner should not be me but….

It was the right thing to do!

After this wonderful event we could ask him some question on things to come.

It was a lovely evening and it was time to let my old bones get some rest from all the running.

Rioting! 

What looked like a normal day changed fast after i heard my sherry the mouse statue giving me some disturbing news.

I grabbed a fresh piece of bread and rushed to my room for my armor.

Its not the first time our towns been under attack by something.

Undead,Obhidians…. i wonder what its going to be this time!

The statue mentioned several towns so i decided to go to Jhelom.

Jhelom always had a special bond with me.

When i arrived at the bank in Jhelom the Town crier confirmed the attack.

Everything looked normal in the streets until i ran into the Captain of the Guards.

This was more serious then i thought.

It looks like in several towns the citizens have been started to riot against the towns.

And raiders from other towns where attacking Jhelom.

The Captain showed me a box of ropes to arrest the rioters and raiders.

I started to walk around town to see whats going on.

I came across some protesters who where not happy with things in town.

They told me they where very short on gold, food and clothing and that they getting no help from anyone.

I reached in my pockets and gave the protester some gold and the bread i had with me.

He was content with what i gave him and went quietly to his house.

Several more protester where on the streets and i gave them all i could.

These people where still easily calmed but i fear not everyone going to be calmed like this.

When i was almost near the moongate i smelled something burning.

When i stepped closer i noticed a angry man walking around with a torch.

I could only do one thing then to arrest this man.

I quickly took him to the Captain of the Guard.

A soon i gave him to the Captain of the Guard i saw another man with a torch running down the streets into a building.

I have no idea what driving these people to do this but i would not let them burn the town.

I went after the man in the building and arrested him too.

I did all a could to put out the fires and clean up the garbage they where trowing around.

In the middle of Jhelom a banner been placed by the raiders.

They where attacking me from all sides.

Its like the banner is the center of there raiding party.

The raiders put up quit a fight.

But after a while i arrested them all.

I have no idea whats causing this disturbance but its a lot of work to try to maintain order in the town.

If this is going on in every town then we need more help to keep things calm.

I will have to ask friends and family if they can go and see whats going on in the other cities.

And if they can arrest the raiders and rioters in the other towns.

Its not going to be easy to keep the fires under control.

Jessica told me she had a hard time at her pet shop in New Magincia.

She fears for her pets and she told me that if she needs to choose between people and animals, that she will kill all people that comes to hurt her beloved friends.

I have to keep a eye out how things developed.

I hope its not going to get out of hand!
