Piracy!

On Saturday the 13th of July we are having our third High Seas adventure.

Not only are we going to capture a Pirate Captain for bounty but we will also going to try to plunder several merchant ships!

We need crew to fight and to arm and shoot the cannons.

At 20:30 CEST Stella New will open a gate to our ship from West Britain Bank.

When everyone has boarded the ship the Captain will appear that will lead the event.

Before the event starts the crew will discuss with the Captain how the plunder will be divided among the crew after the event.

We are all wise and adult enough to make a fair decision .

The Captain of the ship will have the final decision how it will be!

I have faith in you all to make this fun!

The Week-end Madness

Vacation time has started but not on Drachenfels where the week-end was busy again!

Friday the knuckleheads gave us another lovely auction.

Its always nice to go back to the auction house in New Magincia.

Saturday we tried to break our records again at the void pool.

The record of 55 waves is still standing but we had a lot of fun!

And on Sunday we went to fight with Exodus again.

We took a few newcomers with us and it seems they had a good time.

And as always this event returns every two weeks!

Don’t get burned in the sun in the next days and see you all again next week-end for more madness!

Fishing Event Deadline

There were some comments about the running fishing event, concerning the entry of record fish, I will discuss this topic briefly here.

Some fishermen have the opinion that there should be a maximum deadline for freshly-caught record fishes.

That means that a fish must be returned within a certain period of time to be included in the event.

This would prevent that a fisher hold the fish till the end of the event to break several records at once.

I suggested to run a vote about this, but after I thought about it I came to the conclusion that this is not practicable.

Several reasons have led me to decide against a deadline.

A: I cannot check exactly when a fish were stored in the mailbox

B: I cannot guarantee that I have time every day to look in to the mailbox

C: There can be reasons why you do not have the opportunity to submit your catch

These are the reasons why I don’t want a deadline.

It would be nice if everyone would submit his fish close to the catch date to ensure a dynamic event.

Finally, the currently top three fishermen on Drachenfels.

1st place: Paul Bocusse with 14 records

2nd place: Allanon with 12 records

3rd place: Tony Fisher with 5 records

Betrayed!

After the council meeting we needed to meet Elesil at the counselors hall.

It seems she have found someone that would be willingly to help us all to destroy the altars of Zalindera.

We would go meet this person at the bell of courage in cove.

To my own surprise it was nobody else than Jigsaw.

Jigsaw is a well known gargoyle that usually entertain everyone with games and events.

He was also the one who helped the citizen of Drachental and Elesil to find and defeat the Dark Angel many months ago.

Jigsaw explained that he knew a way to destroy the altars.

All he needed was twenty-five obsidian pieces of rock to build another shrine opposite of Zalindera’s altar.

He sended everyone to Elwood McCarrin in New Haven and advice them to help him with his quest.

Slowly everyone gathered the obsidian rocks from Elwood’s quest.

When Jigsaw received all 25 pieces he and Elesil called everyone back to Cove.

But then something changed!

When Jigsaw thanked everyone for helping him with his plans the priest Alrik appeared in Cove.

Alrik smiled and looked at Jigsaw.

Then Jigsaw revealed his true plans.

He gave the Obsidian pieces to Alrik and revealed himself as a follower of Zalindera!

He bowed to his master and recalled away.

No one could believe was just happened.

When Alrik left a big confusion went trough the crowd .

We have been played by Alrik and Jigsaw…. and who knows how many followers are hiding among us.

Elesil wondered why Cove is now the place for the weaver to build another shrine.

Maybe they have something near to hide them?

The only thing close is the orc fort.

Could it be?

Elesil took everyone to the fort but i started to get a bad feeling about this all.

This felt like another trap.

When we arrived at the fort everything looked normal.

Just a few orcs.

Then things changed, the sound of thousand legs where sounding around us again.

Before we knew it we where surrounded by the mechanical spiders and scorpions of Zalindera!

We kept fighting them off as much we could… But i noticed that Elesil was the main target of them.

I tried to fight my way too her but i saw she was jumped by several of them.

She fought with Valor but i saw the bites all over her body.

She grabbed at her chest and started to have pain at her heart.

Poisoned!

The spiders retreated like they succeeded in their plans!

Elesil did not look very well and she ran away as fast she could to see a doctor.

We tried to follow her but she disappeared very fast.

We gathered all back in Cove to try to understand what all happened.

What are Alrik and Jigsaw up to with the Obsidian rocks?

And who else is part of the followers of Zalindera?

How is it possible we could not see and feel Jigsaw’s evil intention?

I fear for Elesils life….

We have been defeated…. What will be next?

Who can help us now?

The Exodus Encounter

7 July 2013

The Twenty-third Exodus Encounter will be next Sunday.

We gathering at West Britain Bank and Leaving at 20:30 CEST.

Be sure to read all about the Summoning of Exodus : Here

If you can, try to make sure you have at least 3 of the 4 Keys. (Robe,Dagger, Rite).

Each group only needs 1 altar but need the other 3 keys for everyone else.

We will gather as many extra keys we can before Sunday to pass around if needed.

The Void Pool Challenge!

Friday we tried our luck for artifacts at the gauntlet.

Saturday we went toe to toe with the Stygian Dragon!

Sunday the new elected governors had their first meeting with the King.

Later in the evening we tried to help Elesil with the spider Goddess problem.

But Jigsaw betrayed us all and Elesil was mortally wounded.

We picked up a few new rumors:

King Blackthorn has met the Governors. The Governor of Trinsic, Lady Ta’ira Tal, has claimed two city gates, a lighthouse, a barn, flowers, benches, more Moongates, several teleporters in the city, a bigger port and a castle as her seat. The king thinks about it.

In the Orc fort near Cove it came yesterday to a big fight between Elesil Daelwon and her supporters against orcs and spiders. Thus, the orcs seem to follow the goddess Zalindera.  

The Governor of Trinsic, Lady Ta’ira Tal, was wearing openly the colors of Zalindera in the meeting with the King. The high priest of the weaver, Alrik Ploetzbogen, sat directly behind her.

Elesil Daelwon was seriously poisoned yesterday during the assault on the Orc Fort. The healers doubt her early recovery.

Jigsaw has openly changed to the side of the weaver Zalindera. In truth Jigsaw leads the Church of the Weaver and not Alrik Ploetzbogen.

Elesil Daelwon was slightly poisoned yesterday during the assault on the Orc fort. But she is all right again.

Jigsaw has switched to the side of the weaver Zalindera to spy the high priest Alrik Ploetzbogen.

King Blackthorn plans to arrest the governors, who have complained about the amount of weekly payments to the Crown (that means all) for high treason. The king wants to get rid off potential competitors for his power in Sosaria.

Elesil Daelwon was deadly poisoned yesterday during the assault on the Orc fort. The healers have advised her, soon to make her last will.
