Celebration of the Magical Heart

February 10th marked the Celebration of the Magical Heart.

An event hosted by Fire Kitten, Sinful Obsession and Faeryl, Mayor of Vesper

 

 

The event started off with a few showing up early to be sure to get a good seat

A few kisses and plenty of drinks later the event moved outdoors

after a bit of running around and getting lost everyone return back to the Vesper Fellowship Hall for some poetry reading and the silent date auction

Bringing new players in the realm to show them the Ultima Online Community
Each new player will receive a care package (suggested by Dag Nabbit)
The care packages include books on training skills as well as other training items
The various items are from various towns in Sosaria giving a unique bit of Ultima lore.
In the future Haven Fest is hoped to show players the history of Ultima and Promote exploration of other towns.

(Player Event) The 3rd Trinsic Fishing Competition – Feb 1st > Feb 14th

Ahoy Mates!

The time be here again for another ocean wide fishing competition!

Organized by The City of Trinsic, the competition be open to all anglers across all the seas.

Catch Window : Saturday, 1st Feb. -> Friday, 14th Feb. (14 days)
Weigh-In Event : Saturday 15th February, 9:00pm EST.
Place : Trinsic Docks, Trammel.

The catch window will be from February 1st to February 15th, 2014. Only fish tagged between, and including, these dates will be eligible for entry in their appropriate category.

To submit a fish for judging, all ye need to do is drop it in the mailbox at the Surf Shack on Trinsic south beach, which be here..

Then, at the Weigh-In event on February 15th, we be announcing the winners for all categories and awarding prizes to the lucky anglers. Ye can also turn in any last minute entries by hand at the event. However, please note that fish caught on the day of the Weigh-In will be outside the catch window, and so will not be eligible.

After the prizes have gone out, it’d be our great honor if all hands would join us for some good ol’ fashioned cannon cracking aboard the Trinsic naval ships. We’ll be taking on two of the sea’s greatest beasties…

NOTE : Vessels captained by experienced sailors will be on hand to ship land lubbers to the battle. The cannons will be open for anyone to use, but ye will need to bring yer own supply of heavy cannonballs, heavy powder charges, and fuse cords.

The Ways Of the Contest
– Ye can submit as many fish as ye like, in as many categories as ye like.
– Only fish submitted in game via the designated mailbox, or handed to the judges on the day of the Weigh-In event, will be accepted. (No screenshots)
– Ye may only win one of the listed categories, with the exception of the two final categories X & Z (see below).
– The final winners will be announced, and prizes awarded, at the Weigh-In event. It may be possible to pick up yer prize after the event if a time can be arranged.
– In the case where one fisherman submits multiple fish that win different categories, the fisherman will be awarded victory in the category covering his/her largest fish only. If the fish are of the same weight, the judges will decide which category to award.
– The two final categories X and Z will be awarded to the biggest qualifying fish submitted in the previous categories A through H.
– The weight of biggest fish submitted thus far for each categories will be listed in the table at the bottom of this post. The table will be updated once a day, in the early morning hours.
– If ye would like yer fish back after the competition, please submit them in a bag with a rune to a public mailbox where they may be returned. However, we are encouraging people to donate them to the Fishing Record Museum, and this is where all record breaking un-claimed will be sent.
– Lastly, in the event of any controversy, the judge’s decisions be final in all things.

(Player Event) Open Contract – Trinsic Lighthouse {Competition}

The City of Trinsic is offering the following building contract to all architects of the land. The contract will be awarded to the best design submitted. Designs will be judged by King Blackthorn, and will be presented to him with the architect’s name removed to ensure fairness.

Building Type : Lighthouse. (Inclusion of an actual deeded lighthouse is optional.)
Plot Size : 7×10.
Due Date : Sunday February 9th, 24:00 Midnight EST.
Remuneration : 30 Million Gold & A Lighthouse Deed.

Architects are required to send their proposed blueprints (screenshot) to the Trinsic City office for consideration before the due date of February 9th, midnight EST. The Trinsic City office mailing address is as follows:

** You can also submit your screenshots by private conversation with me on these forums.

Blueprints will then be forwarded to the King, with the architects name removed to preserve fairness in judging. The judging will be held over a week. The architect of the selected blueprints will awarded the contract as part of the ceremonies during the shard-wide fishing competition event on the evening of the February 15th. building construction will commence the next day. A plaque will be mounted at the base of the lighthouse displaying the architect’s name.

The Fine Print
* Questions can be posted to this thread. Please do not post your screenshots to this thread! Send them to the email : [email protected]
* Please include your character name and a way to reliably contact you with your submission.
* As the architects names will be kept secret, the competition is open to all, including citizens of Trinsic.
* There are many open housing plots and endless free resources on the Test Center shard. You can also copy your character from your main shard, including all items in your pack, using the help menu in game. Also houses on the Test Center do not count towards your one house per account limit.
* To take a screenshot, press the “PrintScreen” key. The image is saved in your MyDocuments folder, usually under “EA Games”.
* If you want to include a deeded lighthouse in your design but cannot get hold of one to copy to Test Center, please post here and we can arrange to have one copied for you.
* Only real in-game screenshots will be accepted. No photoshop works. The winning design will be tested before the contract is awarded.
* Only house customization elements (all upgrades) may be used. No lockdowns or house addons with the exception of the Lighthouse deed.
* In the event of an unforeseen controversy, the coordinator’s judgment (Soar) will be final in all things.
