Lady Abby Normal, Lord Roger and Lord Gareth made their way to Britain after hearing reports of a raid on the Britain Beacon Printing Co. There they met Miss Watson, Naomie De’Layne and Ozog Giantfart and began their investigation into the current situation.

After finally finding Kendrick (No relation to Morrow) they were directed to the island of Jhelom where they recovered more documents about the Beacon and the personal life of Drakar Thantz which left them with even more questions.

Don’t Worry Santa Will Be Back!

The Christmas/Holiday Tree Lighting event over the last five years has become a tradition on the Chesapeake shard. Inviting everyone and anyone to partake in hosting and attending events. This years theme “Poseidon’s Fury Artifacts” was chosen to honor the creative and enjoyable story arch “Poseidon’s Fury” created by our Event Moderators.

Area 51 Christmas Scavenger Hunt

Kicking off the festivities was The Township of Area 51 operated by the UFO guild, with their First Annual Christmas Scavenger Hunt. The Scavenger hunt was a smashing success with higher then expected numbers for attendance. Later on in the evening hours, citizens from around the realm gathered on the island of Homare-Jima where a massive Feast was prepared for them by Lady Angelica and perfectly distilled drinks from Maedhros of Nidaros and County Cork Distillery of Kijustsu Anei Village. Goblins from Pitmuck such as Ozog Giantfart, were at the Tree accepting pressies for the Gift Exchange.

Lord Gareth gave a short welcoming speech a few minutes before Elder EM Dudley and EM Drosselmeyer arrived to light this years Trees.

“Welcome to the 5th annual Christmas Tree Lighting! I would like to thank Lady Angelica for preparing a wonderful feast. Ozog and the Goblins from Pitmuck for distributing Gifts for the exchange and a long list of people who made this Tree possible; Sundina, Demon Slayer, Abby Normal, Pooper, Nyx, Elijah Cross and WildStar. Let us stuff our faces and await to arrival of Elder EM Dudley to light this years Tree!”

After the tree was lit and the Hall of Commons meeting adjourned, the Goblins entertained the crowd with their beautiful voices (Nails on a Chalkboard) singing, Deck the halls with boughs of holly, Jingle bells and my personal favorite I want a hippopotamus for Christmas, before distributing gifts to everyone.

To wrap up the night three numbers were drawn for the Angel Gift Box Attendance Raffle which were given out by Angelica during the “Angelic Feast” and Niva the Savage during the “Hall of Commons Meeting”. Congratulations to Lady Jade, Lady Xanthe Eir and Lady Sundina for holding the winning tickets.

This years event would not have been possible without the hard work and dedicated put in to make this one of our best Tree Lighting events thus far! We hope to see everyone again next year.

Beacon and Dregs Static event begins on Friday the 23rd of December and will run until Wednesday the 28th at 8pm ET when the next event A Fun Guy’s Folly is held. Regarding the Beacon and Dregs event to come, there will be several “paths” to follow to find all…of the available information and quest relevant things to get the complete picture you’ll need to follow each path. So far we’ve got at least two but we may have as many as five. We’ll include where each path ‘starts’ with a post on the forums when the event goes live

Don’t forget to enter the Holiday House Decoration contest. You have until December 25th to submit entries.

Please be advised that Elder EM Dudley will be Out of the Office from January 17th through February 13th. He is going to the South Pacific

As mentioned last week, we were going to release a clue to the more difficult of the puzzles that was presented in the Britain Beacon Fiction…If nobody had solved it. However, it has been solved in that time and action has been taken as well. Keep an eye out for fiction to come this week

The Tokunese Address event will be sometime during the first weekend of January

Patrol Guard Ceremony

This Wednesday at 8pm ET, The Village will hold a patrol guard ceremony for the new commander Mark West and his newly appointed Deputy Tanivar, second in command. There may be some fun and games involved with maybe some small prizes in the games. We shall be doing a basic patrol of the village as well to re-familiarize those who have done it before, and show the newcomers to the village patrol how to patrol the village. Be prepared, who knows what may come. It’ll be an good ceremony with good company!

After skimming the pages they made their way to the City of Vesper where they met Jennifer the Cartographer’s Apprentice who was to distraught to focus on anything…

To ease her mind and continue on the quest for the “King Crab” we needed to help Jennifer locate her brother whom loved the drink…perhaps he is part of the Foxx family…any who it did not take long for her brother to be located and after giving him a nice bottle of Ale he said to tell Jennifer “StarBuck”

Jennifer’s list was not to difficult, local merchants had all the supplies needed to get Jennifer back on track and find those King Crabs!

The word Catalhoyuk appeared to be a secrete word which was used to teleport you inside of the bed Chamber. Master Vespucci’s journal gave the final clue to his location, The Fortunes Fire Casino and Resort!

Once we arrived we located Rodney Vespucci….unfortunately he was unable to locate his clothing… to finally find the King Crab we had to get the local Bar Wench Candy to go on a date with Rodney….whom cannot be pictured due to nakedness…and due to Candy being so wenchy cannot be either. She required Moonglow Madness and a dance on the pole before she would ever go on a date with him. After locating the Moonglow Madness and a quick dance on the pole she agreed to the date and Mr. Vespucci gave us the password “Mappa Mundi” to access his Secret Basement and obtain the map which took us North of Moonglow to Ice Island.

A King Crab Carapace

Earlier in the month our fearless Commander Drecko announced his plans to step down as the Commander of the Patrol Guard. He will be focusing on coordinating special task forces throughout the realm to battle Vermin and Undead Horde uprisings.

Over the last several days the Village Tribal Council has been interviewing candidates to fill the position and has selected Lord Mark West to become the new Patrol Guard Commander. Earlier today Lord Mark West was sworn in by Tribal Council Chairmen Cheever and has already begun implementing new Procedures, Schedules and, Watch Tower assignments.  He has also publicly announced Lord Tanivar as his selection for the Deputy Commander position and will be sworn in next week.

All Patrol Guards should see the Commander for their new orders soon as possible. We all look forward to seeing what the Patrol Guard can do under the leadership of Commander Mark West

The Community Crafters Hall located in Kijustsu Anei Village hosts their weekly Community Crafting event on Tuesday night. Crafters from the CCS and various guilds come together to give a little back to the shard community by offering free repairs, golems, furniture, training and more.

Come one and all for some free repairs. If you need something crafted such as armor, weapons, jewels, Enhancements, Furniture, Training, Repairs, Golems, Q&A, or what have you, just stop on by for assistance and the people there would gladly aid you in your request. Even if you are simply looking for good company, stop by and hang out.

Trivia Night Information & Rules

Where & When: Crafters Hall Lawn @ 7:30 every Tuesday Night

Trivia Night will be set up in teams (Depending on how many show up). Each team should set up their own
party chat so they can talk to each other in game. If it is a low attendance, then there shall be no teams.

If you show up late (like after 2 rounds has already passed) then you can still play and get a grab bag.
You will be behind in points however, so good luck!

Everyone who shows up will be given a grab bag with some nice little goodies.

Each team (or person) will be given a bag of books to answer
the questions with in which at the end of each round they will
give 1 book back with all 5 answers in it from that round.

The game will have from 5-7 rounds (7 if time permits) with each round
having 1 question from each of the 5 different categories.

Each question is worth 2 points a piece, therefore giving the potential of
earning 10 points each round.

For the first night reward of gold is givin to the top 3 winning teams or
players. First Place: 1m, Second Place: 750k, Third Place: 500k

There will be no cheating allowed. That means no use of internet, or any
outside information other than that which is in your own brain, so we
will trust that you all play honorably and only use the knowledge in
your head and your teams’ brains too.

We also hope that everyone who shows up has a great time. This is all
just for fun. We can’t wait to see anyone and everyone that shows up! Good Luck to you all!

Announcements from EM Dross & EM Dudley

EM Dudley: First: The Royal Guard exercises scheduled for Monday evening are being postponed. Dudley was takin’ ill this weekend. The setup didn’t get set in on time, so we have to move it back. A new date will be posted ASAP. Keep your eyes on the EM Forums.

Second: There is an event on the 23rd called “Beacon and Dregs” which will be a static event. You may complete it anytime over the weekend right up until the event on the 28th @ 8pm which is called “A Fun Guy’s Folly”.

EM Dross: In preparation for the event on the 28th, there is important information about it that can be found within recent event fiction. Of course this information may not be apparent at first. As part of the ongoing investigation, there are multiple codes and hints in the two pieces of fiction up, and they will allow you to affect how the event proceeds if you solve them.. and propose/act on that information in various ways. If you choose to not act on it, you will have more info than others, but it will likely not change. As drastically as if you come forward or try and propose a plan of action to the investigation leader Captain Irina. Also, there is an extremely difficult puzzle in one of the pieces of fiction, and if nobody figures it out by next week’s HoC meeting, a single clue will be given. Good luck!

Question to the EM’s: The crew from the DOE Star and RoadRunner from Kijustsu Anei wanted to know if you two were getting a little soft in your old age because we mopped the deck with your “Queen Crabs”.

Answer: (Dudley) “I mean if mopping the deck is what what you call taking an hour to kill one cuddly crustacean, then i guess that is the case… Glad you enjoyed it! I can’t stress it enough though, use cannons to kill a Scalis! Does like 2200 damage per hit.” (Dross) “That does help just a Teensy bit.”
