KING ABDUCTED
From Moonglow Mardi Gras Party on Fat Tuesday.
“Still & all, It was nice to see the King show up and give support to the event,” York_Siege posted on Stratics. The King, who was drunker than a Grimlex, was last seen dunking for french fries. Kattasrophe keenly noted a suspect, pointing out, “The Mardi Gras Thief left the party around the time his nibs went missing.” The only clue is some graffiti scrawled behind the bank by Spiffykeen which (it’s hard to make out) seems to say, “Will trade French Zombie for Cajun Hoodie.”

EXCLUSIVE*
Royal Fishing Contest.
King Blackthorn has issued a challenge to all Fishermen (and women, etc) in the Kingdom. All Fish caught on or between March 10th and March 30th are to be weighed with an honor going to the largest “Legendary” or “Trophy” fish – which will be mounted and hung on the wall of Castle Blackthorn for all to see. The Smallest Weight fish will be given to the Cooks of the Castle for display on the Kitchen Tables and the Largest Weight. In addition, the Largest Rare or Legendary Crab/Lobster will be cooked for the King’s Table (displayed on his plate). These items shall remain until another such contest replaces them. Fish dated prior to March 10th, or after March 30th will not be eligible. Please drop off your best catch in the chests by the King’s Throne in the Council Chambers on Serpent’s Hold before Midnight on March 30th.?

THE CANDIDATE
Meet Ionya:
I am addicted to mining. Minoc was my starter town since it has a nice mining set up just to the northeast of town. I have also lived on the edge of Minoc for a very long time. I have donated alot to Minoc and I have recently achieved, for a pretty penny, the title Countess of Minoc.
I am sad there was no governor this last term and I think I would be a good governor for this wonderful town. I will definitely add the Faster Casting option to the town stone. So long as the funds are there I will also monitor the message board for any needs or issues. I would like Minoc to be a more popular place in the realm.

THE CANDIDATE
Meet Morgan Ironfist:
New Magincia was the nearest town after the attack, so this is the easiest way to attract trade. Obviously, the player housing makes it quite unique, as do the commodity deed brokers, so it is quite special.
Running for governor opens the possibility to do something for the community, even if it is only S.S.I. for the honorable citizens of New Magincia. But since it has been in effect since day one, people can rely on it. I stand for a continuous trade deal. So, with the help of loyal citizens, I want to keep that up. I am the only governor remaining from the first elections. I am the only one who was present at every council meeting.
I will continue to uphold the trade deal and my influence and knowledge of Britannia’s politics will benefit my fair city.

THE CANDIDATE
Meet The Gooch. “I guess Minoc chose me. Minoc is the home of Barter Town, which is my home. On Siege, I want to do whatever I can to make Barter Town a better and more fun place. I think it could be a fun place to host events to a little used city. It’s a great area out here and it would be nice to see the city used more.
It would be a great experience to me as a returning player. It is something new that I have never done and it interests me. I would like to host a couple of events. I have a few ideas that I think the community would get a kick out of. Maybe make Minoc a more usable place to have fun.

NEW STORE
Body-Parts-R-Us, in joint venture with  Kage Venator & Zoloms Collections, Inc., has opened a retail inlet on Siege Perilous. “It’s not an outlet,” explained Zoloms. “It’s more like a Goodwill donation center. Only, we pay for donations and, uh, it’s definitely not good will.”
Asked what they do with the body parts, Kage Venator insisted that his answer be “strictly off the record,” whispering, “We have a contract with the heirs of Charlton Heston to supply a company called Soylent Green.”
At which point Zoloms shushed him, exclaiming libelously, “You can’t trust that reporter!”

MULTIBOXING
Multiboxing means to play multiple separate characters simultaneously. Some say it is illegal in UO. Others say the only thing illegal is using special software that links all logged in characters together simultaneously – that you can legally multibox without the software.
A report attributed to Mesanna about multiboxing is missing. A search has turned up no such report.
Does anybody have a link to that report?

INSIDIOUS ORGANIZATION
Shadowy figures prowl Siege Perilous, characters holding a strange allegiance to something called “real life,” sometimes abbreviated to “rl.” Beguiling but harmful, rl can entrap a UO character even in their sleep.
“I usually wake up here,” Hattori Hanzo stated, “But the other day, I woke up in a real nightmare. People were yelling at me and I wasn’t allowed to kill them.” Adding with a shudder, “I think it was real life.”

ZOMBIES!
More players are finding they can no longer log out of the game. “It’s the easiest way to add NPCs to UO.” said NPC Recruiter, Duane Jones, star of Night Of The Living Dead (1968.) “As the UO population winds down, we need more and more NPCs to roam vacant cities. So we Zombify bank sitters. Most of the time, they don’t even notice.”

UO SEQUEL?
A sequel to Ultima Online, tentatively titled Undead Online, offers hope to the current crop of NPCs who have practically nowhere to go and very little to do when they get there. “Trinsic can be very boring to walk about,” Wandering Healer Gwen pointed out. “Unless you fall off a bridge, there’s really no excitement at all. But if we can get a game all to ourselves, just us NPCs, we can organize some social activities. I’d like to see a gambling resort for NPCs, like some shards have on Fire Island.”

LUNA OBSERVER
Mollie Fogsbane was Shadowen Darkstar. He seemed headed towards the PwnBroker. It’s Tru, Molly thought, Darkstar is gonna sell the Waynbo he stole from me. That’s my best hunting bow and if I don’t get it back Famine could take me. This could be a real Kattasrophe! Well, Molly decided, I’ll throw that Babbling Loonie for a Lupe. She hitched up her Leather Lucy, and, sneaking ahead, she spread Viscount Goop on the walk and waited. The Skunk stepped in it and while he was stuck, Mollie gave him a Hugibear wedgie guaranteed to spoil his seksdreams and grabbed her Bo back.
“Spiffykeen!” she chortled.

EVENT
Rumor has it the Shadowlords are planning to hold Winter Olympic Games on Siege. “It’ll be Russian style,” announced Diablo. “Contestants and spectators are advised to bring their own body bags.”

NEW STUDY
Quack Pollsters have determined that smoking cannabis makes you feel different. “They’re still the same person,” explained Dr. AJ. “But pot keeps that fact from them.”

SIEGE GRANNIES
From Nigeria have opened a PayPal account where any Siege player can now wire money to UO players in Limbo. “Heaven awaits the charitable,” said Grannie Abimbola*. “Those who contribute now to the poor souls stuck in Limbo will enter Heaven riding on a camel.”

“Nobody has ever been on UO without logging as long as him,” said a saddened friend today. “I don’t know his real name, but he should be in the Hall Of Players for this. Look, he’s still bank-sitting in Luna.” Asked about funeral arrangements, the friend admitted, “We haven’t planned ahead yet. Nobody will go into that room.”

Lilith*, Ghost, Satan* and God are back! Already they have made many kills, and probably a few attempted but failed ones. Tom Gaits and Waits are a new team of Pkers. So are Hey Arnold, Crunch, Tvoir and Sugar Smacks.
As for the ones who have stayed, Ru, Flair, Tru, Harold, Bo, Sal Manila, Grace, Captain Sureno, Parium The Black, Singularity, Dionysis & Grimlex.

Flair came to Siege Perilous to play with her friends, Kelmo, Luka, Tia, Shamous and Tazar. When Flair first came to Siege, Kelmo chased her all around Tazar’s house, killing her to welcome her to Siege. Thus her guild title, “Kelmo’s Chew Toy.”
She found Siege Perilous appealing because if you get mad at someone you can go and kill them. She enjoys the challenge of playing here. She was introduced to Ultima Online by a friend’s husband. She fell in love with news reporting by being able to get the word and writing stories about what was ingame.
To come to a conclusion, Flair thinks anyone who is looking for something different should come to Siege.

El-Ninio: “El-Ninio” in the late 90s we had a real bad season of storms and “El-Nino” was the name they gave the phenomenon that brought the storms. it was blamed for everything from tornadoes out east to forest fires in california. El-Nino was destroying things all over. there were a few people named “El-Nino” and to be different i misspelled it on purpose. El was / is my attempt at pvp. “Ride the rainbow , crack the sky. stormbringer comin’ … time to die”
