Dear Fine Folks of Great Lakes,
Another year is behind us and I scratch my head wondering where it went. The greater part of the day today was spent taking down my holiday decorations inside and out, carefully packing them away for another year. This is my tradition, all décor comes down on New Years Day. My other tradition is this year end letter and it has been going strong for over a decade.
Though I enjoy the Thanksgiving Christmas holiday season in the realm my favorite is always Halloween. Though it had a late start this year it was rather wonderful. My large skull collection from that season is one of my favorite items at this time to look at and doom item drop collecting brought many old players and new together.
My fondest UO Christmas memories are the years I attended and /or assisted Pratt at the annual Christmas event MOA puts on each year. Sadly the past three years I have not been able to attend as I was taking a class and now teaching a class on Thursday evenings. Melian however reports that this years holiday event was as grand as ever. I have however gotten my auction need in from time to time at The Alliance Guild Auction on Monday evenings. Though I was not able to see Santa this year I did make it to many plots decorated full of cheer and holiday glow. Several were highlighted in previous posts and I have included a few more at the end of this letter. UO has always been a release, a relax and sometimes even an escape for me. The past three years has not allowed me in the realm as previous years have but I still get on enough to get my fix and mingle with old friends and meet a few new ones. Lady Lava does love to hunt ! 2014 was a great year for me personally and I hope 2015 stays on that path for me and for all of you!
Fondly, Lady Lava
p.s. Great Lakes has the best EMs and they made 2014 even better!
