All the latest news and the archives have been restored on the website after yesterday’s issues. Due to limitations in our publishing tool, some news articles bear two time stamps – one of today when they were restored and one of the original publishing date.

We continue to work on the other pages like the UO Guide or the Account Center information to bring them back up to date as fast as possible. Please let us know if you miss content.

Hot Fix Notes – 06/05

On June 5th, the Ultima Online website has encountered a critical failure and lost it’s database. We were able to restore its content up to February 2011 and we’ll continue to update the rest of the content as soon as possible, prioritizing publish notes first.

Discussion of UO Changes

Associate Producer Bonnie “Mesanna” Armstrong is discussing plans for the near future of UO on UOStratics:

In approx 2 weeks we will be putting the following on TC1, I hope you guys have time to go check out the changes and give us your feedback.

• Faction armor distribution – Faction Armor will now cost silver and we removed faction rank restrictions for wearing faction artifacts
• Faction point system distribution – Points will now be distributed to multiple faction members when participating in killing faction enemies via healing and direct damage.
• Three (3) new ways to gain City loyalty.
• A new craftable improved version of the communication crystals.

The match was a close affair, with some added drama in the form of a surprise rule change designed to challenge the two veteran teams. Unbeknownst to the Legends team, however, another shard was already waiting for their turn…

I hope everything’s fine with you and the people of Legends. For a considerable time now I have followed Legend’s story of success in the Treasure Hunter Challenge. It made me think that the time has come to give you a real formidable opponent! For weeks Drachenfels has had Treasure Hunter team, waiting. Publish 76 Fixes

Fixes for publish 76 had been staged for the maintenance that was completed last night.

The following issues have been corrected:

• You can now place castle ladders.
• An issue with Cauldrons of Transmutations was corrected.
• The issue with house addons not returning to their original location after house customization was fixed.

An Easier Way to Retrieve Your Passwords

Today’s Account Center maintenance came with an important change to the retrieval of your Master and Game account passwords. You no longer need your old passwords to change them.

If you forgot your EA/Origin account password, you can request a new password on the front page of the Account Center as long as you know the associated email address.

If you don’t have an EA account yet and forgot your Mythic account password, you can request a new password on the front page of the Account Center as long as you know the account name and email address.

If you forgot your Ultima Online game password, just login to the Account Center and click on ‘Change Password’ of the product you want to change.
