What is it?

It’s a small utility
What does it do?

• It moves the chat.log file, (found in C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Ultima Online Stygian Abyss\logs) into a folder on the C drive.
• It then renames the file using the current time and date (caution UK dating ie ddmmyyyy)
• Finally, it launches the UO Stygian Abyss client using the normal uopatch.exe exactly as the uo desktop shortcut would.

What does that mean, basically?

It means that instead of overwriting the chat.log file the client will make a new one, and you can keep your chat logs.
Is it legal to use?

This does not affect the code or game file in any way so it is ok to use, with the following proviso.

You create a shortcut to it on your desktop and use that to launch SA instead of the normal shortcut
