It is Turkey time again and there is much lore and history on this famous bird. Later this week many folks in America will be feasting on this foul as Thanksgiving Day is right around the corner. The very first Thanksgiving took place in 1621 but it took two hundreds years before Thanksgiving Day was officially proclaimed.  Turkey is the main course in most homes for this holiday. Through history people have had strong feelings about this bird. Ben Franklin was so charmed by this creature he thought and promoted this bird to be the American national bird. He was unsuccessful in his attemps.

In the past week turkeys have re-appeared in the forests of Great Lakes. Turkeys will peck at just about anything, including each other. Beware as they will do more than just peck you. As in past years a popular group sport is to lure a turkey or two to the Brit Bank and have a slaughter. The birds are not the only things to die as you can see in a few screenshots below from last nights banking adventure.

A HAPPY THANKSGIVING FROM ALL OF US IN THE NEWS DEPARTMENT

p.s. Only male adult turkeys make the gobble gobble sound. Female turkeys are more ladylike with a soft clucking sound.
