[News] Discord InThe Streets Of Britain!
Early this morning, Lord Solus, the Governor of Britain, announced several new regulations that were to go into effect in the city, claiming that “These are all in an effort to make our Britain, a safer Britain.”
After much dispute and cries of protest, some changes and clarifications were made. As of this moment, the regulations are thus:
1. All able bodied men and women are hereby drafted into the Britain Guard. Failure to report will be considered treason against the crown.
2. All citizens are now required to register in the town registeries. Your information will remain private and will not leave the government’s hands. Failure to register will result in immediate detention and possible deportation.
When I first arrived at the First Bank of Britain, I noted the increased guard presence that had been mentioned, as one of these guards quickly told to move along and that there was to be no loitering by order of the Governor. Blatantly disregarding his orders, I remained. As I observed the scene, I began to notice ever more protesters arriving, defiantly waving their torches and pitchforks, crying out about their rights, and telling others to reject the dictator. I also overheard a few of the protesters announcing a Protest March at the bank at 10PM by the eastern sky. (EDT)
Lord Solus continues to stand by his earlier statements, most recently claiming that “this is to ensure our safety.”

While I am all for reform and structure i think that if this governor doesn’t slow his pace, he could end up meeting the end of his political career. Bold moves are a necessity in any form of leadership. But the incumbent must first win over the approval of his constituents. As an elected official/leader you MUST win over the hearts and minds of his citizens or his tenure could meet untimely demise. You are there as a voice for the people, a protector of innocence. It is not so you can carry out ulterior motives and personal agendas. People are not easily fooled you know. If leaders think they can mask there personal motives under the flag of fear, your political careers will end just as fast as they started. The human race has and is continually evolving people do not vote out of fear anymore. Telling people \its for your own good\ doesn’t work like it used too.
