Pitmuck Hosts Easter Egg Hunt!

April 19, 2014 By: Morpheus Category: Chesapeake News

The Paxlair Alliance city of Pitmuck Island played host to a holiday treat this evening as players took part in an Easter Egg Hunt along the shores of the goblin retreat. Ozog Giantfart and his duo of pointy eared helpers Icky and Nubby turned a total of ten seekers out onto the lands in search of eggs, ducks, bunnies, and more!

The action was fast and furious as the hidden items were quickly sought out and bagged for return to the island’s “Lighthouse Mission.” Ozog and his companions were surprised how quickly those in attendance were able to wrangle up the hidden treasures!

Little did we know math was not our pointy eared friends strong suit as the trio struggled to amass the events finishing order. With encouraging words from the crowd, the lil ones at long last hashed out the finishing order as follows:

1st: Victor II (5m) 21 items found

2nd: Morpheus Mardox (3m) 20 items found

3rd: Siouxsie Sioux (3m) 17 items found

Ivy 14 items found

Niva 13 Items found

Fabala 9 items found

Ashlynn 4 items found

Nanoc 3 items found

Phoenix (Bag eaten by goblins…)

After the festivities were over the evenings host requested everyone stay put as he had a pair of special guests to introduce! Elated, the crowd waited to see what they perhaps thought was a visit from the Big Bunny himself!  It was BIG alright but it was no bunny as the fabled Harbinger soon appeared for his share of souls on this easters eve.

The group battled, fought, died, and rallied taking it to the Harbinger twice with both victories claiming the famed conjurer’s garb.

Cupid Arrives on Chesapeake!

February 16, 2014 By: Morpheus Category: Chesapeake News

The celebration of St. Valentine’s Day here on Chesapeake brought a bonanza of adorable new household pets! Cupid visited us once again this year and upon his arrival he left a giant pink statue in the center of Luna! Using the statue gifted each who visited a puppy or kitten bearing the names of the creators, a unique hue and breed.

The rush to the location was immense, as everyone cycled through I managed to stop a few for comment about the cute new arrivals. Lady Patience (JCR) was elated to receive such a cute gift in her own words, she couldn’t wait to gather one on each character and begin to collect the different varieties here in our realm and abroad.  Meanwhile, Jimmy the Hand on the other hand (pun intended) was not exhibiting that same wow factor mentioning that “they were sure diffrent to say the least!”

The statue was moved to the Skara Brae bank in Felucca later in the afternoon and still resides there as of news time. The structure is set to be moved back to Luna sometime in the near future.  Happy Valentine’s to our often unseen creators and thanks for the creative gifts!

February 13, 2014 By: Morpheus Category: Chesapeake News

Players gathered for the “Hall of Commons” meeting hosted by EM Drosselmeyer on Tuesdays eve just outside the city of Britain. Herein Drosselmeyer began the night by going over the months schedule followed by announcements.

ScreenHunter_03 Feb. 11 19.05

Proceeding along, it was noted that City Guards were all up and running inside the various election cities in the realm. Player cities were also granted the opportunity to place a city guard if they wish by submitting a completed “uniform” to the mailbox of the Hall of Commons. A bag with the uniform and a book detailing its location was suggested.

Also noted were long overdue municipal works in the town belonging to the Action guild and the need for repairs of both the city banner and healers hut in Silvervale. The Royal Surveyor will be notified.

Briefly discussed with great hope and elation was the recently announced partnership between Mythic, EA, and Broadsword furthering the longevity of this game we all call home. All were assured both Mesanna and the EM program would be continuing here on Chesapeake!

A lengthy Q&A then occurred regarding events and story arc’s dating back to the days of Poseidon’s Fury and beyond up to the recent events held last week. All questions regarding storylines were answered by EM Drosselemeyer in the attempts to get everyone up to date on the on goings here on Chesapeake. A library of event lore was also notably suggested by the crowd in attendance.

Ushering us out to the realm, EM Drosselmeyer bid us adue for the evening until tonights Governor’s council meeting at Castle Blackthorn at 9pm est. Stay Tuned!

City of Trinsic Fishing Tournament Wrap Up!

February 04, 2014 By: Morpheus Category: Chesapeake News

Anglers wet a line in the name of the city of Trinsic this past week as Governor Phoenix hosted a local fishing tourney. A two hour window was given to find the largest and smallest “big fish” as well as the same for “rare” species.

After the two hour tour, many fish were landed and returned to the city docks much to delight of one Governor Winfield! A “fish fry” was in order as we had enough to feed an army once complete.

In the end so many great catches were landed as Bubba Hogge (RBG) of Guardians Gate took home first place for his largest Big Fish and Professor Sprout of Yew for the Rare variety. Taking first place for the smallest Big Fish was a tie between Orin of New Magencia and Victor of Vesper. Honorable mention went to Ivy for a four stone non labeled big fish.

Congratulations to all the anglers who came out to have some fun!

Royal Guard Intercept Corrupted Caravan!

January 28, 2014 By: Morpheus Category: Chesapeake News

The enlisted of The Royal Guard gathered for briefing inside thier command headquarters in the city of Serpents Hold this past weekend. Commander Gwen Irina set forth a mission for the evening to lay in wait in the player city of Silvervale in the hopes that intel recieved would prove noteworthy.

ScreenHunter_05 Jan. 25 19.01

Intel suspected the nefarious Tyrius Zool, sought after for weeks would be moving dangerous explosive materials through the city en route to his secret hideout where it was thought he was amassing troops and supplies for more acts of treachery.

ScreenHunter_06 Jan. 25 19.02

The Guard arrived at the crossroads in Silvervale and were instructed to take positions in and around the cities guardtower in wait for the unsuspecting villians to pass through in the hopes they would unknowingly lead the Guard to thier hideout. The plan worked well as the caravan led by Zool himself passed through the city.

ScreenHunter_09 Jan. 25 19.14

Scouts watched intently awaiting the caravan to veer off to it’s possible destination. Northwest of the city the caravan at long last made it’s moved turning north just over the bridge and heading towards  Wrong. The Commander wisely figured out thier destination and ordered the attack to commence. A lengthy battle ensued as the suprise attack in the meadows leading to the famed dungeons entrance was both bloody and widespread.

ScreenHunter_11 Jan. 25 19.42

As the plains were drenched in the blood of those good and evil the villianous Zool managed to escape capture retreating to the depths on Wrongs many corridors. The Guard lost the treacherous leader but had won the nights battle handily.

ScreenHunter_15 Jan. 25 19.44

Commander Irina debriefed the troops topside along the aged crypts therein. Many came forth with suggestions of what Zool may be up to. Irina made cautious note of each and every possible scenario as she thanked the troops for thier efforts that night.

ScreenHunter_25 Jan. 25 20.01

I’m sure we have not seen the last of Tyrius Zool nor his devious plans of destruction about the realm. One thing for certain when he does resurface, the Royal Guard will be waiting…

Chutes and Ladders in Dragon’s Watch!

January 19, 2014 By: Morpheus Category: Chesapeake News

     Saturday Jan. 18th, 2014

     Dragon’s Watch, Felucca

Patrons gathered in the city of PaxOku last eve en route to the Felucca player run city of Dragon’s Watch to take part in anniversary activities hosted by the Paxlair statehood. Lord Nanoc and Lady Phoenix hosted two rounds of adventurous “chutes and ladders” as players traversed the course laid out inside the town tavern. The rounding course, colorfully laid out much like a game board pit player vs player in attempts to be the first to the finish. With treacherous turns and costly pitfalls everywhere the first round went to DWxC’s own Lady Brooke.

ScreenHunter_10 Jan. 18 19.43

Round two went much Better! After spending most of my previous attempts in the cellar and stables below, falling down every chute possible this very reporter led the charge to the finish line to win the second game. Both round winners claimed prizes of 500k from the nights host.

ScreenHunter_11 Jan. 18 20.04

The group later went on the slay Medusa in several hunts to the depths of the Abyss. Special thanks to the Paxlair Statehood for the nights fun and join them tonight in PaxOku at the cities “Teahouse” for the Statehood dinner to wrap up the celebratory events marking 16yrs in the realm.
