Luna is Starting to Look  a lot Like Christmas

.

We are into the second week of the December and the holiday glow is all around us. Our holiday gifts with the new gift boxes wrapped in new and bold papers and bows has added to the season décor . This morning I took a quick ride around within the city walls of Luna to see how the merchants have decked the halls and a few have really gone the nine yards and below are  screenshots of those plots.

For many this time of year is the only time they decorate or do plot design changes. If you know of a plot that is donned for the season and you would like it featured here please drop a marked rune in my Luna mailbox. I will be sure to visit it.

Ghost Circus and Things That Go Bump In The Night

Ghost Circus and Things That Go Bump In The Night

.

It was an evening full of creepy monsters, trick or treats and a little devils night not to mention a ghostly circus. A crowd gathered in Old Brit dressed in their best Halloween costumes. It was hard to tell which was a costume and which were the real thing. Frogs, wisps, spiders, dragons, skeletons, blood worms, goblins and zombies were a few of the many to be seen and smelt.

The always charming and talented EM Elizabella appeared and informed the scary crowd of the evenings events. First on the list was to get Mirendel and Selkestal  from their home and that we did. That cute little Mirendel was dressed as a ghost and Selkestal as a mongbat.

.

The plan was to visit all the Governors homes and trick or treat. Before we left Granny warned the two small dragons and the crowd that not everyone will be home and some people just do not give our treats. ” Not receiving candy is certainly not a justification for arson ” Granny yelled out as the crowd departed.

.

Our first stop was Brit where Lady Dot handed out candy and small gifts. Then onto Jhelom where Thom handed out sweet treats and small gold checks. The third stop was Minoc where the barefoot Tanda was handing out slices of very tasty cake with purple icing, a big hit with the crowd.

Moonglow was the next stop and know one was at home so the crowd egged the office to the delight of the little dragons who also took part in the action.

New Magincia followed with not a soul about either. This building was egged and tossed with rotten cabbages. Then onto Skara Brae next, it has no governor at this time but Gov elect Fariner was there and handed refreshing honey dew melons to the crowd, a healthy heart smart choice.

.

Trinsic got egged and not only were rotten cabbage thrown so were week old nasty turnips. Someone even left a smelly ripe fish at the doorstep. Vesper had no building to speak of so the sugar high crowd set fires ! Yew was last on the list and the crowd settled for just egging and a few rotten turnips.

The crowd yearned for more sugar so trips were made to Twin Oaks Tavern where giant pixie stixs were handed out and then to the beautiful Tokuno Islands were Tess Midnight had a Strawberry Chocolate Fountain set up for dipping a few pockies.

Just when I thought the night could not get any better the little dragons starting whining there was a circus near Vesper and they wanted to really really go. It seemed late for the little ones but the crowd agreed to take them and what a circus it was! It was a rather ghostly event with strongmen, freaks, circus monkeys, dancing bears and clown ghosts. We even got peanuts and popcorn, now that’s a circus !

We all wanted to spend more time at the circus but the young ones were running down fast on energy and looked very heavy lidded. We returned them safely home. No doubt they dreamed sweet dreams that night.

Zox’s Museum of Fish Re-opens

September 15, 2014 By: Lady Lava Category: Great Lakes News

Zox’s Museum of Fish Re-opens

one

.

Most of my summer has been filled with travel and amour so time in the realm was limited. September is here and like many of us I will be back on tract. Sunday evening a pigeon came my way from EM Elizabella that there was a group venturing to Octopus Garden and I did not want to miss it. I was not the only one wanting to see this water soaked location. I looked around the hall to see the old die hard Martyna Z’muir and many others including Pure Joy, Lady Starr, Shewolf, Jakob, blanc De blanc, Bless The Fall, Longtoothz, Kendrelyne, Revenge, Venekor, Janieha Emberlyn, Shumer, Froggy, Skye, Hennessy, Nille, JINX, Deavous, Panda Express, Lost and Found, Selina, Tizzle, Azazel, miner man, Prometheus, Sarin, Lady Fraise, Lord Sigma a.k.a. Siggy, Ellis Kingsburry, Lord John, Brill, Rutee, DeathWish, Savannah and Imara. These are just a tip of the seaweed as it were.

Odine arrived and filled the crowd in on what has been happening over the long summer after she stated she was rather happy to no longer be in mermaid form. She may no longer be in mermaid form but glows of an unnatural blue hue. After being away most of the summer this recap was rather helpful. Little did I know of the perils of drywalkers, underwater creatures and the state of the museum collection at its new location. This information made me think I should be careful by the water in the future as to not be pulled under by a catfish. The time had come to visit the Octopus Garden but the weak were warned the garden was not only beautiful but dangerous and that it was decorated with drywalker body parts and curious zombifying fluid not to mention aggressive water foul.

The garden was indeed beautiful and dangerous. Many creatures attacked us including Sea Monkeys, Rock Lobsters, Angel Fish and the fish we were warned most about, the Clown Fish. This nasty beast shows itself in human form dressed as a clown and for many a clown is a very scary image. The fighting did not stop at the Octopus Garden either. We were informed Khul’kruk was planning to steal the few remaining fish housed in The Awards Hall/Museum and he may be there now. The group banded together and off we went to the new and improved Awards Hall location which is now a grouping of three structures. More water creatures awaited us including Dread Lobsters, Reaper Fish, Blue Marlin, Stone Fish, Giant Koi and Zombie Fish. On land these creatures seemed even more powerful. Many died at the fins of these creatures before Khul’kruk appeared.

.

.

The crowd however was ready for Khul’kruk and after a long battle he was nothing but sushi and not just his arms like when the chef got ahold of him in the past. The missing objects from the museum were recovered and Zox appeared and was delighted to re-open the floor that houses the fish museum. It was great to see the collection again which includes trophies by award winner fishers including, Flipper Flanigan, Tunna, WORM, Lord Spurlock, Von Hogan, Emeril, Lady of the Mist and Lucifer Darkwind.

The new buildings that make up the Awards Hall are impressive and greatly designed. If you have not made a trip to see them please take the time and do so. Containers can be opened to reveal much of our history and the people that helped make it.  cords: 43o 41’N, 47o 31’N

Award Hall Celebration

August 28, 2014 By: Lady Lava Category: Great Lakes News

You are invited to the grand re-opening of the Great Lakes Award Hall & Museum! Come explore all the new exhibits and participate in the festivities:

  • Dunking Booth – Take aim and try to dunk us!
  • Find Yourself Scavenger Hunt – Let’s hope you’re there…
  • Zox’s Museum of Fish – It has been said that there are only two types of stories: a man goes on a journey or a stranger comes to town. There is now a third: A goblin gets her museum of fish.

The new Award Hall (43° 52′N, 46° 28′W and 47° 33′N, 47° 10′W) is on the island north of the former Award Hall. There will be a gate from inside the Britain Counselor Hall. If you would like to participate in finding yourself, please bring a blank book, which can be purchased from a provisioner.
