Message from the Author about the Collection:

These books represent a collection of RP stories from the period of 1999 and before. These books cover storylines releated to the Wraiths, Paxlair and Mythndale. This set of books is meant for RP/History archives and libraries.

EM Events For the Week

  • Friday, November 30th at 8:30 PM EST: Fish Count at the Sons of the Sea in Trinsic!
  • Tuesday, December 4th at 7 PM EST for Requiem: An Eye for An Eye (Heavy Combat/Roleplaying event)

EM Announcements

  • I will ask Mesanna if she can join us next week to dye Halloween Masks, so go ahead and bring your masks next week just in case (12/2/12 @9:00pm Hall of Commons)
  • Watch the EM boards for an announcement in December about December events
  • Next month, we should have another EM and while we’ve enjoyed Deputy Ozog’s assistance I fear we’ll have another stool in his place soon. The new EM will be launched to us via Mesanna’s Cannon
  • If you are ever speaking to any EM character that does not say “EM______” then you are speaking to the IC (In Character) and they are speaking to you IC. No matter what terms you use, they are a roleplay character and will respond as such. So if you insult an RPC (Roleplay character) and insist they are not worthy of things they will argue back, vehemently. That being said, that is again, only RPC’s words, it does not pass on to OOC (Out of Character)

Royal Guard and Ranks Explanation

  • The Royal Guard is set up in a standardized way that awards players based on Merits that are clearly defined. This is the structure that is allowed to be had and used by the EM program. There is no other system that is allowed for the EM program to use And there has been a bit of complaining due to some confusion caused by previous EM Vladimere who awarded some players improperly with ranks. In addition, the Royal Britannian Guard is EM run. Votes do not matter. What gas happened before does no matter. The only way to gain rank in the current RBG is to do so via the current system. This is not in any way showing persecution or dislike of anyone’s characters or backgrounds. However we are bound by the rules of our system an the rules that prove there is no favoritism. I know that the RBG events were scarce in the past few months but we will be working to have minimum one RBG event per month from now on. Many of you will progress in rank, and as you do the EM RPC’s who hold higher ranks will trust your characters with more responsibility during RBG events. This was seen during the last one as Gwen utilized the Corporals as team leaders. However… these ranks are not to be abused, and you can be demoted and given demerits. The Royal Britannian Guard is a military unit. It is run as a military unit. Those who hold higher ranks will be expected to do so properly.

Exodus Defeated!!!

Exodus was defeated for the First time on Chesapeake on Tuesday, November 20th at 2:00pm by Inhabitants from Kijustsu Anei Village and Port Ethereal Keys. Battling this almost impossible to defeat creature was our very own Janitor Pooper, Absolute, Flint, Big John, Lord Cheever, and Lord Gareth.

The Library of Arcane Knowledge located on the island of Homare-Jima is proud to officially reopen its doors to the public after six long months of renovations. Its founders Lady CaT and Lord Gareth have been organizing and cataloging newly acquired written collections such as the Private Mythndale Library And Museum Collection and The Lost PaxLair Collection.
Library books aren’t the only new collections being displayed in the building. Chesapeake historical artifacts, trinkets, replicas and knickknacks have also been added to the library on the second floor area. These Historical items have been collected and displayed to serve as visual aids for players, to help them remember past events they have attended and hopefully enjoyed with their friends.

For example when Gareth looks at the “Ephemereal Cloak Of Invisibility” he is taken back to when the Royal Guard entered the mind of Kendrick Morrow and found themselves in the ruined city of Moonglow. Celestrial Knight announced there was a locked chest inside the Moonglow bank. Pooper and Gareth were the only Two thieves at the event and neither of them had lockpicking…after about ten minutes of trying to figure out how to unlock it, Gareth smashed the chest with a halberd and the cloak fell to the floor BUT you had to steal it to get it. Both of them tried to steal it but failed, then failed again, and again, and again and then Success!!! Pooper stole the cloak and tortured him with it for months.

And what is a Library without its secret entrance? The Black Cave Entrance like the one used to enter Paws will take you to a section of the Library which mirrors one of the remaining buildings found in the abandoned Village. Located inside are metal green boxes which contain the journal records found in the ruins. The Paws Display area has been properly dedicated to those who lost their lives.
The entire Library and its displays would not have been possible without donations, display loans and organizational help from numerous players over the years. A special thanks to all those mentioned below for contributing and continuing to contribute to the Library.

The past few months Kijustsu Anei Village has been undergoing major renovations to implement Lady Cat’s proposal for specific vendor shops. The shops are being constructed all across the area to enhance the RP experience when visiting certain public Establishments like the Void Gateway, Britannia Mage Tower, H-J Rune Library Etc.

You will find that many of the vendor shops being constructed aren’t the most profitable in the world but are fully stocked with items that have been severely lacking on the shard for many months. These shops are what we call “Community Work Vendors” with inventory such as Plants/Vines, Furniture, Doom/Dojo Stealables, Full Spell Books etc. priced at or below crafting cost.


[*] Requests to Build a new shop in the area can be sent to Lady Cat, WildStar, Angelica or Lord Gareth to get setup.

[*] Requests to Replace and Maintain Specific vendors/shops already built and maintained by OOC Leadership can be sent to WildStar or Lord Gareth.

H-J Rune Library & Community Teleport Hub Updates

Updated Runebook Sections

Over the last few weeks we have been updating several sections of the runebook library. Our first section was the Dungeon and Peerless runebooks. All of the Re-vamped classic dungeon books are now up to date and additional runes have been added to the Peerless books along with a few miscellaneous locations we overlooked in the last update. For the Tamers and Bards we’ve added a new skill training section to help you gain Animal Taming and Provocation from 0 – 120 skill. The new section can be found under the Cu Sidhe Statuette near the center of the Library.

 

Adventure Vendors

Following Lady Cat’s suggestion to implement, “Themed Shops” we have placed two vendors at the help desk to compliment the newly updated Dungeon/Peerless section of the Library. The vendors sell a variety of peerless equipment required to enter different lairs such as Bone Machetes, Acid proof rope and more. Blow is a list of current inventory prices.

 

Bone Machete- 100gp

Acid Proof Rope- 500gp

Snake Charmer Flute- 250gp

Butcher’s War Cleaver- 5,000gp

 

 

 

Ship Runes & Sailor

On the second floor located in the center of the teleporters are two ship recall runes. The Blaze color rune leads to the EVI Flagship Corpic anchored just North of the Sea Market which can be reached by placing a row boat. If you don’t have a rowboat you can find one for sale on Holly The Sailor for 6,500gp.

The white color rune will take you to the EVI – SKS Howling Raider. The ship is located south of Destard Dungeon on the west coast of the swamp where the Blightborn Slimes Spawn. Feel free to fight the Blightborn Slimes from the ship just be sure to scrub the slime remains off the side when you’re done.

 

Global Arc Runebooks

With so much going on in our lands we find many people either unaware of new quests or unsure of how to begin new participating in them. To help eliminate some of these issues we have created Chapter specific runebooks to keep you informed and on the right path so you can be successful in whichever quest you decide to accept. As more quests are released our goal is to have a runebook ready for you to use on your epic journey through our currently chaotic world.

 

 

 

 

New Treasure Map Set

This collection is the first new Treasure map set since the addition of random maps. It is a comprehensive collection of books that will get you close to your treasure map no matter where it is in the world. The Kijustsu Anei set has a full set of maps found here http://goo.gl/E5bNb (google short link case sensitive) and will take you to a spot on any landmass or facet close to your treasure map.

The new Treasure Map set can be found on the 1st floor. The old Treasure Map books can still be found in the marble colored wooden box next to the new set for those of you still wishing to access it. The collection was an incredible amount of work and the following people put many hours in to create it.
